That does seem rather small. Would have preffered the TV version as well.

Yeah, I agree it seems smaller...maybe they should make it to the size of the Yamato 1/48 Valks.

    Eh, not impressed. $130? Robbery.

Do those towers by his head do anything? They look like they unfold into guns or something.

So purty. But why so tiny, tiny, tiny? I thought this was the day and age of the ginormous collectable transformables. Now that there's something being released that actually was huge, we get a tiny version? HUH?

Eh. I'm still hoping for Bandai or Yamato to come thru with a newer version of their own.

There was a rumor on various modeling boards that the next significant non-Gundam Perfect Grade release was going to be an SDF-1, though from what I understand, Bandai and Yamato are fighting over the licensing rights to the SDF-1 likeness because they both want to put out a model of it for the upcoming anniversary.

I'm torn on which I'd rather see. I love Bandai's Gundam models, and worship the Yamato Valkyries, so it's not like I'd lose either way. Just a matter of instant gratification or months of work after the purchase.

Well it's MUCH more detailed than the original toy, but then that is pretty small. I like the concept, just upsize it and it'll be a winner.

    Looks like she's out overseas.

Beauitful but too small for the price they're asking.

Got mine this morning. Yes, it's small, yes it's detailed, yes the die-cast amount is good, but it could have been a bit better for the price (at least knee articulation and arms that can lock on the legs in ship mode). Joints are okay. I thought the head couldn't turn but it looks like there was just a bit too much glue under it, I just had to force it a bit and now it turns perfectly. The little display stand is a nice touch. More of a display piece than a toy to me.

Oh, there's one nice little gimmick : as you rotate the front halves of the ship, the little tabs retract on their own. Pretty clever.

Yep, the new color scheme looks MUCH better to me than the original. Glad I waited, but the price is still a bit ouchy.
