Cobra Water Moccasin & Copperhead
The secret military organization known as Cobra discovers huge alien machines hidden all over the planet. Using this alien technology, Cobra is able to make advanced new vehicles and weapons, but was unable to control them, until they removed the alien robot's heads. Each vehicle's Pilot Master can control their vehicle from the cockpit and take command of robot mode by becoming the head.

This is still a bit of a WIP, so feedback is welcome. I need some small guns and a few other details/markings in vehicle mode. It looks a bit more blue in real life. I was going off the box art, which seems to be a lot brighter and greener than the actual toy. Not really a fan boat, but Topspin did have a similar silhouette and I think he is a boat(?)



Guns have a 5mm port, can be handheld, or underslung on forearms.


Turret is removeable too.

I should probably find a better robot head (someone suggested Deathcobra), but my naming convention for this series is intended to follow this guideline:

Titan Master: Joe character
Vehicle Mode: Joe character
Robot Mode: TF character
Robot Head: TF character

Rather than having the Joe character as the robot, a la Star Wars Crossovers. Of course, my other one did not follow that at all.

I wouldn’t change a thing. As far as weapons, I wonder how Energon Mirage’s arm missile launchers would look on him. They’d have to be modded to fit, but I know you could do that, no problem.

One thing I'd suggest, if you can find some thin magnets (I know Michael's has some), you could use them to attach some rifles to "Water Moccasin's boat-mode. Any thoughts for the Joe's team?

Thanks, I did use magnets quite a bit before, and have a ton in inventory, so maybe I'll give it a try. It could help keep the boat mode sleek without having to cut it up too much. As for the Joe team, I have some ideas. I'm trying to get my favorites done, the more iconic, unique vehicles and characters from the line. And anyone with "head" in their code name gets bumped to the top.

Yeah, I considered that, or the scale deco, but I think I'm going to try a Cobra Moray at some point.

So here are the "mocc" ups for adding weapons. This one is my favorite, it gets closer to the look of the original toy with the turret and two long forward facing guns. Maybe not the right guns though, and I'd either have to add a 5mm port to remove them or they'd look odd in bot mode if permanently attached.

Here's a no-cut solution, just open up the flaps and put them in his fists. I can store them on the rear ports when not in use.

that top cannon is from Mirage, but that is his his deck/shoulder cannon.



I was referring to the arm guns in the pic above. They'd require some cutting and modding, but I'd bet they would look killer in the end result...they even got the little hydro fins on them.

I like the no cut solution too...makes them look like they are coming out from inside the boat there.

And yep, I say SnowCat too.  

 

Was that basically a wing removal? If so, it looks like there may be duplicates of Topspin and Twintwist in my future...

Just tested the arms and they feel a little too big. I’m leaning the no cut way. At least until I get/find the perfect guns.

Yep. Just a hacksaw straight cut, then a little styrene to cover the wound.
