It's sort of pathetic that we first went there forty years ago and not only lack the capability to do it again without effectively rebuilding all the technology, since it was never improved upon, but we knew so very little about another celestial body we had already stood upon.

I will admit, the charged hydrogen from the solar wind and oxygen in the regolith explanation is neat, though.

Moon water? Why do I get the feeling there's gonna be competition between Earth water and moon water if the stuff is drinkable?

Yeah, what coming is a multi-million dollar bottled water.

It's natural Moon Water. It's 100% water and no pollution because there isn't any pollutants on the moon.

I'm a little concerned that the reaction to water being found on the moon is "cool, bottled moon water" rather than "Holy crap! It could be viable to put a self-sustaining manned facility on the moon."

    Good luck.

The first long thing would be to put a base, where a rocket could blast off back to earth.

And then how would we build it....

    Ahhh I hate ranting.

Unless we start building space colonies in Earth orbit, just like in those Gundam shows, I doubt it's worth getting water from the Moon.
