I don't think I've ever seen a case like this one before. I wonder if the film will ever see release now.

I believe that this is just a quick judgment made before the trial to stop WB from rushing a release now. They may still actually win the case.

see i'm gonna be evil and not care.

watchmen is not the be all end all for me so i see no need to get upset if it never gets released. i honestly would feel the same if it had happened to transformers

I don't think this will stop the film. First there will be an appeal, and if Warner still loses, they will either buy out Fox, or add Fox as a distributor (ie you'll see Fox's logo and the WB logo before the film). Too much money and talent has been sunk into the film to let it collect dust on a shelf.

This is kind of funny for me because I have a personal issue with WB. I got my ebay account suspended and had to write an agreement with WB to never make a custom DC or WB character custom figure because of a nurse Joker I made. They said it violated copyright laws. Here' to standing up to protect your "property" FOX!!!!! Take ALL OF WB MONEY ON THIS ONE!!!!

Wow! WB actually did that to ya? But yeah, I get where they are coming from. I believe if you had customized it for yourself or not sold it on ebay (or advertise it), you would have been in the clear, right?

I know it is absurd, but you were making money off of their character.

Anybody else remember when Spider-man just floated around in legal limbo for, like, forever? Please, don't let that happen to Watchmen! Given, it's already in the can though, so maybe it won't.

Holy shit. That sucks man. I hate that copyright law allows shit like this to happen. Your case really should fall under fair use, or at least that is my own personal opinion. Sucks to have large companies bully people like this. Fuck em!

Actually, I would think that it would have more to do with their legal department being incompetent. Took them how long to crack down on those bootleg G1s?

Disclaimer: I dont care about the Watchmen movie at all.
