either way its still naff. why bother designing something to turn into a lump of robot.

maybe a slight nod to the beast wars tie in but i doubt it.

and i still dont get the whole "this isnt G1 so dont expect it to be" argument when they blatently use parts of G1 design in their stuff.

if its not G1 then why have the OP movie preview have blue squares on his chest in homage to the truck windows??
if your doing it your own way then for christ sake do it.

the screamer version may look like crap but at least its a standalone design.

Oh for God's sake, not again.
They transform into meteors because that's how they get to Earth.
Prime has blue squares on his chest because the movie design does. In fact, Prime pretty much always does. It's not an exclusively G1 thing.
Pretty much the only things they have used from G1 are the names, the basics of the personalities, the concept of an Allspark/Matrix/whatever you want to call it, and the fact that they transform into vehicles. And again, these things are in pretty much every line too.

Incidentally, we have a movie forum for this sort of thing to be posted in. Try looking for it.
