Wash. man caught in HOV lane with unbuckled dummy
Wow, what a putz
hahaha what a jack ass
Washington wins twice this week in traffic news.
Too bad Gandalf couldn't wizard up some magic to beat the ticket.
For those not local to the area, there are a couple freeways that take you to Seattle or the nearby large cities. For a lot of people, myself included, we have to traverse these roads everyday for work and traffic is horrendous most days and the public transit system is shit unless you want to go directly to downtown Seattle. I've actually started going into work and leaving over an hour later then I used to in order to avoid the roughest traffic hours. Anyways, that being said, almost anyone in this area will at least fess up to THINKING about doing something like this. Actually doing it, well, not that many, but it isn't really a surprise to see this. I am kinda surprised he only got a ticket $124 though.
This sounds like something Larry David would do.
This is WAY funnier than the guy caught speeding home because of eBay.
Pretty, pretttaaaaay, pretttaaaaaaaay good.
Hahahaha wow now that is funny
I love these kind of news stories, where no one get's hurt or killed.
Goofy idiot crimers are cool, it's the violent one's I hate
Ain't that the truth.
Liege Prime up there has it right. Traffic here sucks. I think it's still rated worst in the country.
That's why I work a swing shift. Because I'm that impatient, especially when it comes to getting somewhere.
After living in both Seattle and Los Angeles, I can definitely say that while Seattle's is a pain in the butt, it's absolutely nothing compared to the 405 in LA. Not even close. I have heard the "rated worst in the country" before, I just don't see what it comes from. It has to be some percentage of people to road size or something, because what I experienced the 2 years I lived in LA actually made me MOVE from LA.
That all said....I can't tell you how many times I have thought about something like this, so it's funny to see someone tried. I have found a pretty good method of shaving off time on the 520 (westbound) by exiting at the first exit after the 405 junction, then taking surface streets to the 76 gas station (which is the last entrance onto the 520 before the bridge). It shaves off a good 15+ minutes by going this way. I usually get from Bellevue to Northgate-area Seattle within 30 minutes unless the traffic is backed up all the way to Redmond.
I want to know which HOV lane the guy was trying to use, though. Because the 520 is a 3-person lane, hehe. Must've been the 405 (which is lame because that one isn't nearly as frustrating as the 520, for the most part).
YOU SHALL NOT PASS IN THE CARPOOL LANE.
sorry, I had to.
If it was buckled this wouldn't be a problem.
If it was buckled, he'd still have his dummy.
Well at least it was safe
funny thing, when I started reading op's post I thought that he had a crash test dummy in the car.
then I started nostalgia tripping and thought about the Crash Test Dummies and their awesome exploding toys. And I imagined one of them riding with him.
god I need more sleep.
