    This may sound blasphemous... >_>

Was thinking of starting a Seeker collection but... I'd probably want to make a small army of semi-unique Seekers. By that I mean some of the varied molds that have existed over the last few years... and in a few cases, are as close to unique as possible. (I think Unicron Trilogy had a few guys that weren't redeco'ed several times, no? Might start there.)

The idea is basically an army of 6-9 Seekers, but they are for the most part, in unique molds. Having 6-9 Classics of the same mold isn't quite to my taste.

Any suggestions/thoughts on the idea? Thanks.

Not sure what you mean. Like you want each "seeker" to represent a different mold? Which one do you use for Masterpiece? Which classics mold would you like? WST? Various PVC lines? Revoltech?

If you want one of every character, you'll likely have some overlap, and if you want one of every mold, you'll have overlap as well.

I think he means he'd like to have each seeker be a different mold. I.e, Uni. 2.0 Dirge, Classics Starscream, Cybertron Thundercracker, etc. Or am I reading it wrong?

^ Yes. This is what I meant. sorry.

The idea of getting the same exact figure multiple times isn't exactly my thing, with few exceptions, usually if they're tooled a good bit differently.

So I was thinking along the lines of a Classics StarScream, a Conehead, jets from the Unicron Trilogy, one of the Alternities... etc. Provided they're all roughly similar in size.

ATM I only have Masterpiece Prime, and it might stay that way for some time.

    Thanks for the input.

Yeah, why would it be ' blasphemous'? Do what you like, and I hope you're happy with it. Sounds different, good for you.

Use Acid Storm from then Classics 2.0 version then.

    Here's some suggestions.....

    Energon or Cybertron Supreme Starscream
    ROTF, Classics Ramjet
    Animated Sunstorm
    Armada, ROTF or Generations Thrust
    Universe or ROTF Dirge
    DOTM or TFTM Thundercracker
    Masterpiece or ROTF Skywarp

Classics (obviously you have a choice of all of them)
Armada (Starscream, Thundercracker, there's there's the retool Skywarp and Thurst?)
    Energon (two Starscream decoes)
Cybertron (Supreme Starscream, Voyager Starscream in Thrust colors, and Uni.'08 Dirge)

The Coneheads are where you'd probably run into some trouble, since there aren't too many options for them. But you can build up a good army.

I agree that same mold doesn't do it for me. This is precisely why, all my seekers have been molded with diff weapons... when I get around I will take a pic.

Decoes and paint apps are enough difference for me, personally. Considering I have 16 variations of the Classics Seeker.

For me nothing compares to the Masterpiece molds... And iGear have given us the Coneheads too. If you want to mix the main 3 up a little hold out for MP-11. ;-)

That's certainly a unique idea. Anyway, if that's what you're going for, I suggest using Titanium 6in. Sunstorm to fill in for Sunstorm and the Titanium line. With Starscream, you've got so many options and there are a good number of options for Skywarp and Thundercracker as well. Therefore, I suggest that you start by choosing from the more limited options for the Coneheads. Also, if you want Acid Storm, in your line up, that's gonna end up filling in that spot for the Classics mold.

    Here's my suggestions:

    Masterpiece Starscream
    Animated Skywarp
    Cybertron Thundercracker
    Movie Ramjet
    ROTF Thrust
Universe 2.0 Dirge (a redeco of Cybertron Starscream)
    Titanium Sunstorm
    Universe 2.0 Acid Storm

I am thinking of getting Botcon Skyquake and Leozack to round go along with the original deco of Energon Starscream. ES will be renamed Schism.

Good man, glad I'm not the only one going this route. I have a strict one version of any given mould rule in my collection so the seekers have always been a problem for me, until recently. My Seeker squad is:

    Energon Starscream
Classics Skywarp (just finished repainting Starscream)
    DOTM Thundercracker
Generations Thrust (Slight cheat but I consider it remoulded enough from the normal Seeker mould to be considered unique)
    ROTF Dirge
DOTM Ramjet (DOTM Air Raid with all the pink parts repainted darker red, all red wings and tail fins. The ROTF Thrust urban repaint would work equally well imo)

    I'll also be adding at some point;
ROTF Terradive with a slight re-tool into Sunstorm, and Movie Dreadwing heavily re-tooled and repainted into Acid Storm. Any other new mould deluxe jets that get released will be converted into hopefully Ice Storm and the all purple generic background seeker.

At the moment though, I've got the main 6, and although they're all different moulds they look great together. When I've completely finished Ramjet and Skywarp I'll post pics.

I've actually been building up a (Movieverse) Seeker squad of unique molds myself. 4 Cons so far:

I suppose the first Voyager Starscream mold is different enough from this one to use as a 'unique' Seeker, especially with the more G1 head (i.e. Skywarp or Thundercracker), though I already have the original and don't intend on buying a repaint/retool.

Here's hoping Hasbro eventually repaints their DotM Air Raid as a Decepticon. And just makes more Decepti-Jets in general.

The following assortment features all 6 seekers each with a different body type but in the classic colourway therefore making them instantly recognizeable. Plus some background guys to fill out the ranks.

    Energon Energon Starscream
    DOTM Thundercracker
    Universe 1.0 Skywarp (Jetstorm redeco)
    Armada Powerlinx Thrust (Red)
    HFTD Dirge
    Classics Ramjet

    *************
    Universe Sunstorm
    TFTM Divebomb
    Classics Acid Storm
    TFTM Overcast
    RiD Jhiaxus
