Was there a slight problem with Classics Mirage mould?

Apologies in advance - my memory is very vague on this. I remember there was a very minor problem with Classics Mirage mould. Probably not a defect at all, but there was piece in him which could be clipped short to make the transformation easier. I have even seen a picture in this forum and did the same thing. Now I am thinking of selling my Mirage, but naturally I do not want to do so without explaining what's done to the toy. I looked at my Mirage but I can't seem to find it   I don't have other versions of this mould to check, either.

I know it's over 5 years ago, but if anyone remembers please help. Thanks :)

I have no idea. The only problem with mine were some slightly loose joints. No problem transforming or clipping anything in. I've got 3 versions of the mold, and haven't done/needed any modifications :)

Are you talking about like the very front of his alt mode? I'm not entirely sure, though. That's the only thing I can really think of that might have been a problem.

The ball sockets of the arms are susceptible to stress marks.

    Ditto.

I can't think of any immediate problems with the transformation. I always have a little trouble with getting the nose and gun properly coordinated in vehicle mode, but it's not something I would break out a knife for.

Is it something to do with his waist? He has a very thin waist or it could be something to do with his forearms. Cant his forearms get caught when transforming him into vehicle mode.

Thanks guys for your input :)

It's just I recall I couldn't align his vehicle mode properly, and I saw someone posting a picture showing how to make it easier by clipping a piece somewhere. This might be the only time I actually modified a TF and it stuck in my mind.

....sounds more and more like I'm having one of those moments. I can still remember what I had for dinner 2 nights ago, I really can!

To clarify, this is how my Mirage looks.

Also from what everyone else told me in this thread it was absolutely unnecessary >_<

I'm totally signing this after 5 years :p  Good to know I (and the owner of the photo I allegedly? saw) wasn't the only one who did it to Mirage, heh.
