I know it gave new movie fans an instant draw to the show but has the affect on the distribution (or lack of) of the toys and his limited impression on the show been a bad affect on the show. I personally feel they underestimated there young and new fans thinking they wouldn't want something new and bombarding them with familiarity. What do you think?

I don't really view him as a "movie style" Bumblebee. I kinda view him as Movie Bumblebee gone horribly horribly wrong.

Movie Bumblebee used the radio to speak and was a main focus point for all 3 movies so even though he didn't talk you could still understand him by the clips he played on the radio and the emotion he expressed in his face.

Prime Bumblebee seems to get shoved in the background even in an episode named for him that turned out to focus more on Ratchet than it did him. He only beeps and doesn't emote as well as the movie version so it's nearly impossible to develop his character that way.

I actually don't like either of them. I'd rather have G1 or Animated Bumblebee but if he had to be mute I'd prefer he was more like the movie with the radio instead of just beeping.

    To me it is.

I loved Animated Bumblebee and I didn't hate G1 Bumblebee either.

But slag, I wish Megatron blew Bumblebee's head off in TFP. He's like a robotic Miko to me at times.

Oh my gawd it all makes sense to me now! Miko and Bumblebee are Techno and Dubstep!

If you don't get that joke go to YouTube and look up MyMusic. Not my music as in I own it, that's actually the name of the YouTube channel that is not mine.

But compared to TFA version of him any Bumblebee is an improvement.

When you realize that he's practically the same toy as the Bumblebee you bought from ROTF, roof on back, doors stolen from Prowl and/or Jazz, back forms the leg, chest is body, etc., yes.

I think it was a mistake because if a child already owns a movie Bumblebee then there isn't much reason to own a Transformers Prime Bumblebee. Just not enough differences in the design for them to go but I don't have this Bumblebee.

Going with the beeping likely wasn't a good idea either. If they had gone with a talking Bumblebee it would have been easier for the series to go see he's not movie Bumblebee. Optimus Prime shares design features and a voice actor between films and Transformers Prime, but since Prime can talk people don't consider him the same character since he says very different lines between the films and cartoon.

Why do people always want the same Bumblebee from G1, can't this one be different?

It's not that they want him to be G1, my friend. It's more the fact he's a fairly direct copy of Movie 'Bee, with more beeps and less rocket launchers.

Just because they don't like Bayformers/TFP Bumblebee doesn't mean they automatically want it to be exactly like G1. There's more than just "Bayformers OR G1" in the fandom. Hating one doesn't necessarily mean you LOVE the other, and vice versa.

I like Bumblebee. He seems to express himself fairly well even though he doesn't have a voice, or an apparent mouth.
