I got a TFTM Fracture today, and when I got home, compared her with my Classics Mirage and Universe Drag Strip, and my other mosc TFTMs, that's when I realized I got a KO. I knew it was too good to be true. Fracture for $20, I should have known better. I need a refund. :mad

I compiled ways to tell if it's a KO Fracture while in the package and I'll post them bellow.

(note: I got my Classics Mirage loose, partially panel lined and without the rub sign but with the manual. It's genuine but not factory standard. Also, I kept my Fracture sealed just in-case I can return or dispose of it.)

    1. Mold defect/bump that's present with Mirage and Drag Strip is absent on KO Fracture.

    2. The front most grille/vent detail on Mirage and Drag Strip is bigger that the others but on KO Fracture it's smaller than the others.

    3. The panel lines on the spoiler on Mirage and Drag Strip are not evenly spaced; one line is closer to the middle line than the other, while on Fracture, the lines are evenly spaced. Also, the hole for the ball joint on the spoiler is bigger on KO Fracture than on Mirage and Drag Strip.

    4. The panel line on the front of Mirage and Drag Strip’s spoilers continue to the back while KO Fracture's doesn't.

    5. Grille/Vent detail near the rear wheel are different. Mirage and Dragstrip have wide ridges and narrow canals while on KO Fracture it's reversed; it has wide canals and narrow ridges.

    6. The detail on the sides of the canopy are different. Mirage and Drag Strip’s are shaped like trapezoids while on KO Fracture, it's a half circle.

Aside from these, there are poor paint apps and panel lines are more defined on Mirage and Drag Strip compared to KO Fracture, and those are only in alt mode while in the package. The package itself is almost spot-on except for the finish. The KO packaging is less shiny and is missing some print.

Here's a link to a picture review of this KO Fracture out of packaging: Cybertron Philippines - KO TF Fracture

Don't be a victim guys. I've been hunting for this gal now for a year and when I saw her KO counterpart, I saw her through rose tinted glasses and jumped on her. I didn't see that she’s fake. I'm in Manila but I imagine this'll pop-up everywhere soon especially online. I hope my misfortune becomes your benefit.

Fracture's hard to find now? Man, I remember when I saw tons of her and her casemates at Walmart... I shoulda scooped them up.

Kinda makes you wonder what pegwarmers now will be worth something in a couple years...

If it's valuable or hard to find it's a candidate to knock off.

This is very true. It's still kinda weird though. :D

We really should have some sort of KO reference index.

Also in group 6,the side vents are straight on Mirage and Dragstrip, but not on the KO.

Hey, guys with KO Botcon Mirages or Electro-Disruptor Ligiers, can you confirm these are present on those KOs as well?

With all the mold errors and asymmetry of the originals, it seems the knock-off might be of better design/mold quality. These distinctions are important for value, but Hasbro should take note. My Drag Strip figure had one of the worst paint applications I have ever seen.

Thanks for the heads-up! Though it makes sense they do a KO of this mold, considering the amount of repaints.

I don't know about hard to find... but at about $45 shipped, the price on ebay might be a bit hard to swallow.

I second the above. It's shocking that some KOs have better quality than the originals. In some circumstances KOs can be the best policy.
