Anyone here collect and play? What army do you have? I've been hooked for the pass few months. I have about a 4000 point Dark Elves army. Post here if you play or have anything to trade. :D

I play mostly 40k, playing Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines.

That said, I am working on a Slaanesh Deamon Army that could be used for both Fantasy and 40k. I haven't played any fantasy yet, but I do have a good start on a deamon army just with what I had for use in my Chaos Marine army under the old rules.

I already have a bunch of deamonettes, and will be getting more, as well as perhaps that nice Keeper of Secrets from Forge World. I will likely need to pick up a few Dark Elf pieces for conversions as well.

edit: If enough people are into various Warhammer related things, we should start a Games Workshop Group.

Been playing the ol' Warhammer for about 7/8 years now.
I prefer 40k more, but I've been dabbling with War of the Ring recently.

Might as well post up some pics, I guess.

Always wanted to, but never could afford it, and I didn't know anyone around who played.

If you buy straight from the Gamesworkshop store you will pay an arm and a leg for stuff. Ebay is your best friend with this hobby.

I have 2 fieldable armies. 8k of Death Guard and about 5k of World Eaters. I sold all my Masterpieces and Alternators and got 2 more armies. I now have almost 5k of Bad Moon Orks and a 2.2k Emperor's Children army. Sonic Blasters ftw. I have alot of pics if people are interested in them

I went to gamesworkshop yesterday because they had a feemarket thing going on. Basically anyone with models to sell, they can sell it in the shop. They do this once every six months. I bought some Wood Elves from one guy. A unit of 15 Archers. A unit of 8 Dryads and a General on a Great Eagle for like $15.00, very well painted too. An old set but still awesome. I just got some kickass terrain(buildings)today. Plus I just purchased this two auctions on ebay. I needed another War Hydra(cheap for what they can do on the battlefield)and some extra Cold One Knights.

Warhammer Dark Elves War Hydra - eBay (item 250435664107 end time Jun-01-09 14:38:19 PDT)

Warhammer 5 Dark Elves Cold One Knights - eBay (item 250435664773 end time Jun-01-09 14:39:24 PDT)

Yep, I'm officially hooked on this hobby. :lol  I haven't gotten into painting yet. I bought a set of Cold One Knights from the shop to paint myself someday. What extras do you have man? I'm in the market for High Elves and Wood Elves and Dark Elves. LMK what you have.

I just started working on a Slaanesh Deamon Army for 40k and I suppose to try out Fantasy with.

So far I have just painted a prototype deamonette and am now working on a second revision paint scheme.

Perhaps in the mean time I will take some pics of my Marines to post up.

I've got a 40K Necron army painted, and I'm currently doing and Ultramarine army, though it takes me an age to paint anything. Here's a photo of my Captain though.

I collect but don't play. Partly because I'm too shy IRL. And also because the only place near me to play is the official store - with it's complete population of 12yr old brats, or 20-something fat men with too big an ego.

That said, I have a Khorne army on the go for Fantasy right now, and for 40K I'm waiting on dark eldar.

I just got done packing my Warhammer and 40K stuff away since I have pretty much no interest in the hobby anymore. It was a combination of serious personal/homelife issues, irritation at rising prices and lack of local non-ass players. So instead of playing, I was deep into high-end customizing and building. That lasted about 8 years, but lost it's appeal too, so off to the attic the figures went.

I have close to 200 Genestealers (more like 250 but I lost count), about 8 Lictors (2 SE, 2 DL and 4 reg) and loads of customized figures and bitz boxes.
I also started an Eldar army, a Chaos Marine army and an Inquisitor force.

For Warhammer, I started a Slaanesh force and a Mordheim Chaos warband. I also have a few random larger models and such, like Daemons and Wood Elves.

I may still pick up a figure here and there, but otherwise I'm done with it.

If anyone's interested, my gallery is probably still up at Warpshadow as Hive Fleet Ecclectic. They may have dumped it since I haven't posted there in a year.
