Here was my entry into the "Make Your Own Toy Line" contest over at Procustomizers.

My dream toy line would be a 3 3/4 inch series of the world of Warhammer 40k! The possibilities in this line would be endless with the huge assortment of characters and races that make up the armies of the 41st millennium. I chose to start with Space Marines, as they are the human contingent in the Warhammer universe. They represent the Ultramarines chapter, and there is a sergeant and trooper of the first tactical squad. The sergeant's helmet is removable.

There is also an Ork from the Bad Moon army that was included as the "villain" of the line. He is equipped with a power claw and bolter. The Space Marines started out as Iron Man 2 Mark 1 suits, with scratch built bolters, helmets, shoulder pads, and back packs. The ork was a Spider Man Rhino figure, with a resculpted face, and scratchbuilt claw, pack and bolter.

god damnit this is awesome. My only question is why, oh why, did you have to do them as ultramarines?

Thanks! I had to do 2 casts of the head and build the actual helmet over the top. I then made a mold and cast of the helmet and hollowed it out very carefully to pop on his noggin!
The different races would be so cool! The Tyranids would be so fun to have large versions of, and how awesome would a 12 inch Eldar Avatar be? The Orks could be a toy line unto themselves!

I thought the Ultramarines were fitting, since they are the "purest" of the marine armies. I personally would love the Dark Angels or Blood Angels. The Space Wolves would be cool too! The only problem with those chapters is that you get into a lot of iconography that is sculpted into their armor, and different embellishments that they use as deco. I was running on a short timetable with these guys, so the U's won out, since they stick to pretty basic armor schemes.
    Thanks!

Ohhhh! Thanks for that! I had no idea they were making a movie. That looks great.

Terminator armor would be very cool to see in action figure form!

Very well done. This is a toyline that always should have been, and it's cool to see what could be done.

Eldar could also be Avatar figs. Tall, thin, graceful...
Meh. Screw the Eldar. Bring on the Great Devourer!

unfortunately the Halo figures are in the 5" scale, so they would be way too big, especially considering that Space Marines are supposed to be massive, as in no shorter than 7' tall. The Avatar figures for Eldar is interesting though.

I had a contingent of nearly every army from 40k (Eldar (Ulthwe), Space Marines (Ultramarines, Blood Angels, and Dark Angels) Tyranid, Orks (Bad Moons and Red Suns,) Chaos Marines (Black Legion,) and Imperial Guard (mainly their tanks!) I got out of it before the Tau and Necrons came along.
I sold most of my miniatures about 3 years ago unfortunately!

Amazing work, I was expecting actual WH40K figs from the thumbnail but these are soooo much cooler.

Great work translating them to a larger format and scratchbuilding those extra parts. Looks incredibly professional.
