I'd play it if it was the only action going, but my local has a reasonable supply of folks that play more entertaining stuff like Blood Bowl and Battlefleet.

WH is very cool, I play some years ago, anyway I prefer occult rolegames like Call of Cthulhu or Elric.

I started to get into the original WH game, was interested in Tomb Kings and the Wood Elves... then reality set in after one $20 mini book for the armies and I said forget it..

Very much interested in the terrain building aspect though, and still want to find a copy of terrain maker's bokos to make some terrain for TF displays.

Get it quick, everything that isn't plastic is going up in price soon to cover inflation.

I have a good sized Crimson Fist Space Marine Army. I didn't play for most of 4th edition, but am seriously considering getting back into it for 5th.

I also have a Slannesh Chaos Marine/Emperor's children army than needs stripping and re-painting, not to mention the 40 or so legion of the damned models going to waste.

I got out of 40k arround the time armada came out, may be starting up again soon.

Never played any miniature games but would have loved to get into them. I got my fix of WH40K by playing the RTS game and for me it's the best RTS game I have ever played (outshining Starcraft and Warcraft 3)

Thanks for teh heads up Yak!

I used to be sooo hardcore for the Chainmail miniatures... Loved them till I couldn't get the last wave, and they got axed unceremonially. Now I'm picky about what I get into...

I've got a Tau army, and a much smaller Marine army... both of which are only partially painted. I've also got units of Necrons, Tyranids and Sisters of Battle, plus a Baneblade. Painted up a Mumak for my nephew's 21st... gah, was that model a piece of crap. Nothing lined up, it didn't base properly, and most of it was problems found after assembly, with a few after painting.

Haven't ever played, though. Waiting until I get my Tau army finished (whenever I get that urge to assemble and paint again) before learning.

Spamming? Trying to insert cliche forum humor by calling other people whose hobby I find unacceptable and demeaning nerds? The equivalent of General Discussion forum masturbation?

    Yes. Yes I am.

I was actually sort of let down that you mentioned cocaine in only half the threads.

Cocaine can't save people that play Warhammer. They might as well hope to fuck an Olsen twin and overdose on sleeping pills.

What do Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Pink Floyd have in common?

Their last greatest hit was The Wall.

i agree that its an expensive hobby but for the time you get out of it (if you love painting you can spend days on a model and the games can last days) i think its worth it. besides when you say to a girl that you play 40k their eyes light up and there pants drop. :dunce
