I know that a bunch of G1 Nightbeats & 3 MM patrols have shown up in recent years - and I once read that a heap of Marlboro Wheeljacks & Diaclone Blitzwings were stumbled upon in Warehouse Finds in the late '90s (which may not be true).

This got me wondering - Have there been many more "Warehouse Finds" over the years? & furthermore - After all these years, These Warehouse Finds of G1s are still occuring? Don't tell me a building remained locked for 20-something years & someone picked the lock one day, stumbling across a goldmine of toys. That sounds pretty implausible to me... :lol

    Sky garrys
    Diaclone Hounds
    Few cases of Grandus
Few Cases of Victory Saber giftsets
    Artfires

These have all been in the last 3 years that I know of and I believe ended up in the hands of a store in japan called herogangu

I remember that thread where someone claimed there was an abandoned mall in Boston that had a fully stocked KB toys in it. He said he was going back to get photo proof and then mysteriously was never heard from again.

There are lost finds still happening. I tend to hear it relating to old movies more than anything. Some film was thought lost but then a copy is found in a vault in Germany or something. Sometimes, even stuff is found at the studio is some vault.

it pays to scan local papers for those mini-storage unit sales/auctions.
they are like amped up yard sales.

before i knew of TFW, i knew of people finding steals at those storage units.
people abandon them, the owners crack the locks, sell the stuff out and the stuff be cheap.

this is what comes to mind when i saw "warehouse finds".

i haven't found a Black Zarak in one, but i have found handfuls of vintage toys. worth a shot, yo.

*and i have lived to tell the tale, lol.*

How cool would that be to open a storage unit or old building and find a room full of MISB Fortress Maximus, Victory Saber, etc. I'd shit myself with excitement.

A friend of mine who is a MISB AFA collector told me a story about a warehouse find of G1 Mirage which was very hard to come by a few years back. Then the person who did find them AFA'd them and flooded the market, depressing prices. My friend was so upset by that.

There was also some Malaysian jeweler who found MISB Springers, Octanes and even several G1 Optimus Primes about 2 years back. Not sure if those toys were ever confirmed to be legit.

Dai Atlas, and Metrotitan were a warehouse find back in 2002, I remember buying one from Bigbadtoystore who got a hold of some of them from Japan. Sky Garry is the most recent I bought 1 of 10 at Botcon this year.

I would think warehouse finds now are mostly soon to be declared bootlegs in waiting.

There were some Japanese dudes at this last BotCon that may have had some of those Sky Garrys. That or they were KOs.

I mean, 3 MISB Sky Garrys????

That sounds awesome! I'm not sure if that happens at my local storage units, but it's worth a try to ask around.
    Has anyone else done this?

Not KOs and not uncommon. That's the nature of warehouse finds.

A lot more than that. They sold a bunch last year too.

And those have been showing up on eBay for a few years too. He's not rare at all anymore.

I doubt TRU's warehouse goes as far back as the 1980's . It would be awesome though if TRU announce that they had
    Fortress Maximus
    Skorpinok
    Snake Mountain
    The USS Flagg
    Castle Greyskull
    Omega Supreme
    original BW Rattrap
