I'm surprised. This toy is easily good enough to be a stand-alone voyager figure. It is going to be hard deciding whether these guys get combined or not, because I have a feeling Swindle will also be this good.

Anyway, detail is great. Not a single paint app is missing. It feels great in hand. Transformation is simple...but gets the job done.

Partsforming is an annoyance...but since the parts become weapons it can really be thought of as weapons storage. It doesn't kill the toy for me.

Bottom line: You want voyager Brawl? Here he is.

Got HN today. My first WB figure. Gotta say I'm really impress. I had intended only to get him since combined size is not what I'm collecting (MT/FP scale for me) but i love brawl. Now that i have him I'm going to go ahead and order the rest because they all look great and now i have first hand experience that quality is very good.

I've got a fair few third party figures, and I've always thought that MMC produce the best figures in terms of quality, transformation, looks, and extra gadgets/gimmicks (for instance, I think that Perfect Effect Warden has a stunningly beautiful robot mode, but as a Transformer he's sorely lacking).

Anyway, Heavy Noise is pretty good. His plastic is of higher quality that, say, the iGear Raptor Squadron (which I love), and probably on the same level as, say, the Fansproject Headmasters. I would argue that maybe Warbotron have gone for a more simple figure than a lot of third parties, and they've pulled it off solidly. This is good, as too many third parties aim too high and end up with horrendously fiddly transformations, or robot modes where you can't play with them without something coming off.

You could possibly argue that a robot to beast is an easier transformation than a robot to vehicle, and you'd probably be right. Overall though, I'd still say that the MMC Feral Cons are slightly better figures. Only slightly though. And they don't come with a comic full of hilariously bad English...

Don't know where else to put this. Here's a comparison of old Brawl vs. new Brawl.
