Working on a 3D model of a Transformer on my own, i decided to see what I could do with something related to the transform used by the concpt sketch of War Within Soundwave.

After looking at it, I had a brainstorm, and recolored it so that it matched...

    War Within Warpath!

Well, MY vision of him, at least...

Looking at it, even though I originally based it on War Within Soundwave concept sketches, it actually DOES have a similar transform to Warpath, don't it?

Pretty sweet! I know you probably don't want to hear this but I think you should make the gun turret a little bigger in diameter.

    Nice. I like the tank-mode.

What was Soundwave in WW anyway? I refuse to believe he was a Cybertronian street lamp.

He was basically a "carrier tank" - the turret was a big square box with a door on it that also became his chest, and launched off the "cassetticons". Also, he had treads instead where I have wheels.

Good design, however I feel it would work better for G1 Brawl IMO...

There was a comment about the turret earlier, but I think the smaller turret gives the alt mode a nice sense of speed. He looks like a quick assault vehicle rather than a slow bruiser...until he transforms into a large hulking robot. I like designs that are able to create different impressions in robot and alt modes; you've done a really good job of that here.

    Thankys.

Oh, and here's the original color robot and alt modes. I made this thing primarily as an original character / 3D product for the hobbyist program Poser (and its little [free] brother, DAZ Studio):

Yes, I know his robot mode doesn't have the gun.

And a quick animation of him transforming:

It's in Xvid codec, so if you don't have it check www.xvid.org
