I thought it would be cool if once the movie comes out and (hopefuly) Transformers gets more respect, Scifi could do a War Within Mini-series. Hand drawn, of course, by Don Figeuroa. And writen by Furman. Cartoon Network wouldn't cut it. Scifi does a better job with the dark and gritty. Just an idea!

Nice idea, but as possible TF shows go, you have a better chance of seeing Sci-Fi air something involving a Sharkticon rampage.

I'd like to see this as well, but for some reason I see it working more in the same format as the Ultimate Avengers DVD's.

I'd LOVE to see it. But I have the optimism of Gears on if it would actually happen.

I'm on board for direct-to-video (OVA?) as long as Lionsgate and IDW are on board.

I think Don would probably die if he had to single handedly animate a hand drawn show by himself. :)

And I think this is a pipe dream. It would be awesome and a sight to behold, but realistically I can't imagine it ever happening.

I think Hasbro is aware the hardcore fans would shell out for an OAV any day of the week

once again we gotta go back to the movie... if the movie is a huge success then its more likely we'll see more TF Media.

I'd love to see a direct to video movie of some kind (rather see a Classics one then a War Within one though) for a slightly older auidence. (Much like the afore mentioned Ultimate Avengers DVD). And Hasbro does have a record of producing direct to video DVDs for their properties. My Little Pony and G.I.Joe have had several DTV releases. Granted those both where made when neither brand had a show to promote it. Classics doesn't have a show...and The War Within doesn't either and It might help sell the Titanium versions of them.

But I don't think Don is going to hand draw every cell...we'd be waiting years for him to finish it. 24 frames a second. 1440 frames per minute. 172800 frames per two hour animated movie. That's a lot of work for one guy.

Don doesn't have to draw it, just someone that could do the designs justice. Or it could be CGI, possibly by Mainframe.

Well as long as Don did the Character sheets to send over to the animators..I think you'd get the results you want.

"Very few cartoons are broadcast live. It's a terrible strain on the animators' wrists." :)

I think G1 was on SciFi when it first went on the air, but now asides from Stargate & Battlestar with a little bit of Who dashed in they don't stray far from giant snake movies.

Don´t think this likely happens, specially since we´ve seen the Protoform toys, so if Hasbro goes with the movie continuity. they most likely stick with movie-like designs for the cybertronian forms.
