I've been using Autocad for awhile to do my customs. It only lets me do 2D. It's just kind of hard to get things perfect in a 2D representation of something that's gonna be 3D sometimes . . . [That being said] this thread [depicts] an official scratch built [War Within Shockwave]. Here is a shot of my old War Within Shockwave that I made using Autocad a few years back.
Sorry guys, I wasn't aware how heavily this thread got edited. I wasn't meaning to bring back an old custom or anything. I originally asked a question about drawing programs to aid in the design process, but I guess that broke some rules or something? Anyway, thanks for the kind comments!
We took care of it If you could attach your images to the first post of this thread, that would rock just about as much as this custom Your discussion thread is in Radicons General Discussion now
I believe instead of posting pics that are already on TFW2005, I'll instead post some images of my version 2 tomorrow....the one that I'm sending to CyberFembot to see if the owner there wants to cast and sell it!!!
Sorry for the wait. I got some not so fun news about a medical test I had done. But I finally got the pictures taken. Hope you guys enjoy them. I personally love the shot of the purple tank mode version 1 getting ready to blast the robot mode white version 2. Please see my notes about them below if you notice some things that are messed up: 1.) The white one is the one I'm sending CyberFembot 2.) Both have flaws, but the white one is version 2 3.) They both have flaws b/c I tried new things with version 2, some worked out, some didn't 4.) The legs on Version 2 should be attached lower on the hips like the version one, I just made a mistake with the drill 5.) I left spikes off the top of one of the front tread housings just to see how it looked. I like the spiked version better personally. 4.) I left a few decals off the Version 2, again to see the difference that decals make. 5.) The version 2 has better joints (tighter) in general 6.) Version 2's arm cannon ends are attached with different (better) joints that do not require a true locking mechanism, but I forgot to account for the increase in height off the arms, thus the cannon ends don't meet in tank mode like on Version 1, it would be corrected in a final product for sure 7.) I changed the left arm blaster slightly. I think I like version 1 better even though the version 2 is closer to the prototype image in the comic. 8.) Anyone else think the robot mode kinda resembles the SDF 1 in an odd way b/c of the way the front treads stick up in the back??? 9.) The reason the orange tool is under the Version 1 is that I didn't re-enforce the front tread connections (version 2 I did), so they grew loose over time and no longer hold up the tank. The version 2 is great in that respect though. Not loose at all and it's been put through numerous transformations, so I'm pretty sure that's fixed.
