When I heard of this line, I got interested in transformers again... but I'm sort of disappointed

Is it just my prime that's loose? did i get a lemon?

No mines kinda floppy too. Me thinks they used too much diecast that it just weighs the figure down. The arm/shoulder design is also pure crap.

Mine is actually okay, but my Megatron went straight back to the store. You're not along on the Prime, though, many have reported on his "floppiness". Welcome to the boards, Larkin Vain! Now, go check out the Aleternators, that's the line that should have sucked you back into the TF realm.

Welcome to the boards, and please enjoy your stay!

The "floppiness" is a well-known issue with the larger figures. There's an ongoing discussion in our Transformers Feedback forum: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=102049

I've found Optimus is alright with some care, but I'm afraid of even touching Megatron because of the poor design on the hips. Even if his lower legs were plastic that'd be a bad design.

Yes, they used way too much die-cast, and from what I heard, the flyers use even more, especially Jetfire.

I have 2 WW primes. One i picked up at my local Zellers (Waterloo, Canada) and one i bought from someone in the States. The U.S. prime is very floppy while the Canadian prime i have is not. He can hold positions no problem. His hips are even tight.

We may get the same box for prime and megs, but atleast they don't flop all over the place.

To me it's almost like they designed him to be all-plastic first and then changed a lot of the parts to diecast at the 11th hour. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Jetfire & Thundercracker...

My Prime is nice and tight (and I've dropped him on the floor and every limb went shooting miles away). The only slight problem is occasionally the wheel part will move and his arm will go with it, but only if Im messing with it.

My friends on the other hand has a super loose arm to the point it just hangs there.

I was super excited about this line when it first came to light.... but after all the negative reports, I think I might pass on the whole line. I'd rather spend the money on Classics, or fleshing out the rest of my collection on eBay.

Sad that this disappointing line gets the full-metal treatment while Alternators (whose joints are actually strong enough to SUPPORT the stuff) languish with transparent plastic pieces.

The Titanium team is just getting started with Transformers. Only the first two the team has ever built have been released so far. I expect future waves to be less floppy, with stronger joints.

I agree, I don't think we've yet seen a line with a perfect starting assortment (Cybertron came close).

Prime's floppiness doesn't bother me. It just looks too good to care about joint issues.

And yes, the design team is new. They will only get better.

I guess on a personal note i'm a little disappointed because I saw these at Comic Con and though they were great. I even got to talk to one of the Hasbro reps at length about these (I had an exhibitor badge), he said these were designed by don and went on a bit on the design process on how they had to make sure which joints worked where etc. I should of asked him how well do the hold.... oh well....

You have to remember that those guys are paid to hype a toy line. They're not going to speak poorly about any aspect of a toy. Their paycheck comes from marketing and merchandising the toys to us.
