they kinda did it before with the RiD deployable minicons.
you could take 1 or 2 pieces of armor from every minicon in a wave, and use it to assemble a cybertronian animal.
wave 1 had parts for a lion-like robot, and wave 2 a shark-like robot.

I heard there was an interview a while back from John Warden hinting of Deathsaurus and Star Saber being planned. Does anyone know where that interview is?

 

I forget, but it was sometime relatively shortly after the PotP poll winner was announced. He said the Hasbro folks were surprised at how well the JG1 characters (because we all know "Unknown Evil" was Deathsaurus) polled compared to other fan-favorites like Primal, and that their popularity has prompted them to accelerate their plans regarding them.

At least that's what I remember. What I took away from the interview is that Hasbro has been planning to trickle Japanese G1 figures into CHUG for a while now, but they've been apprehensive about releasing them as main-line figures because they didn't really know exactly how much we wanted toys of them.

Would battle damage removal count enough as customization to be posted in Radicons, or is that considered too minor since it's just paint removal?

I assumed that each line of war for cybertron will last for 3 to 4 waves each, a new line a year. Like how long potp lasted.
