Not really surprised. The Wii version is a whole different game already, so it's probably going to be a more family-friendly title.

Wasn't interested in a Wii version to start with, anyway. This war is hardly an adventure though

SOOOO what Nintendo is saying is that they are going to trick parents into buying this game because they change the name? JESUS, I've been defending Nintendo so far but i think this has broken me. Not only are you trying to be shady and change the name of a game to boost sale, i could get on board with that, But the fact that you then tell everybody that you are doing show that you have serious mental deficiencies.

I don't see why companies make such a big deal about this. You have to factions fighting with guns, bombs or what have you, destroying one another until only one stands, so why is it so hard to write war in the title since that's exactly what's taking place in their story?

If they thought war, fighting, guns were a bad idea, why don't they go make a different sort of game. Last time I checked, we still don't have Transformers sholastics game. Imagine learning how to spell with Bumblebee; math with Optimus Prime; science with Ratchet; social studies with Jazz, etc.

 

So...
We can have a main character who's claim to fame largely seems based around drugs (I mean lets face it mario is eating mushrooms and in some crazy world where he can fly, turn into animals, ride dinosaurs, talk to them, sees moving mushrooms, and everything is out to kill him), but having WAR in the name is bad?

I mean heck you could have called it BATTLE for cyberton and it would have been less lame.

It's not Nintendo's problem. Take it up with Activision. If anything the Wii's main demographic can't tell a well crafted game apart from a broken gimmick fest anyway. Renaming it into something parents will buy for their kids is honestly just a smart business move, especially since we know the Wii version will be nothing like the core 360/PS3 versions.

If anyone expected quality from every port/representation that this game is getting, remember, its Activision (who are ******ed crooks) and these games are simple cash ins in the name of the core version.

You're kidding yourself. There is no way an Activision game that's ported to everything but the PC (lol wut?) is going to have teams output the same quality game as the core WfC Team's efforts.

 

Why do I only have a Wii? Oh well, as long as it's only a name change I'll be content.

Back on topic, this just seems like another way they screwed up the Wii version. I mean, i can understand if the controls suck (which generally they do in anything other than sports), but was this really necessary??? After the jokes in the '07 movie, Scalpel in ROTF...

And I hope this doesn't get abbreviated to just TCA...

I understand how my teacher feels though. I write a whole assignment on how Microsoft is better than Sony and Nintendo (in total irony, Microsoft sucks...*ducks*), and my teacher thinks that i really think Nintendo is crap. I somehow agree with her now.  

 

Doesn't bother me at all. I always get multiplatform games like this on my PS3 anyway.

 

You know you're absolutely correct, since, you know, they're the exact same game on the two systems.

Anyway, if this Wii game is different and good (and I hope it is) then people who own both systems get two great Transformers games this summer, 3 if you count the DS versions. I don't HOPE this games sux. You know, because hoping something you like sux, kinda sux.

 

And for some odd reason everyone felt that Call of Duty: World at WAR was absolutely dandy.
