I wonder if Ironhide will be Voyager size?

I’m usually down for earth alt modes, but I hope Wheel Jack has his alt mode from the original pilot.

 

Waiting for SDCC to see the whole range of classes available before I get too speculate-y, but Ironhide/Ratchet are the most needed Classics update in my collection. Voyager would be preferred, but I'll take anything. Shockwave seems probable. If they do another Jazz, he better come with a damn skateboard accessory.

 

So...that Optimus would make a dope Thunderclash, right?

I'm hoping Ironhide and Ratchet will be Voyagers and include battle sleds. With the emphasis on weapons this seems like a line where that would be possible, and a design team that might be into it.

On the slightly negative, the strongly Earthlike alt modes make my hope for '80s Sunbow-style Seeker tetrajets dimmer.

I'm not as confident about the Turbomasters and Predators as I was now that Prime is a Voyager with no trailer.

 

Yeah I wasn't expecting the designs to look so similar to the Earth alt modes. I'm wondering if they wanted to give people options to use them as updated, and modern takes on the classic Earth modes? Would be an ideal way to make sure that it'll leave room for characters that have yet to get updated toys in general as opposed to getting yet another earth mode Optimus Prime.

 

There's still p/cp they could use for boss and there sideswipe who wouldn't be a bad choice for hurricane or stalker from impactor. Also we still don't know who the rest of the deluxes & voyagers are besides prime, sideswipe, impactor, and mirage) or who the two leaders are. So there's still that possibility.

 

For sure, the possibility is still there. I'm just not as sure about it as I was.

There's also two more lines in the trilogy they could pop up in.

 

Some people are suggesting that Thunderclash can be made from the new Siege Optimus figure which I can totally see with some remolding/retooling.

 

Same with punch/counterpunch. I see the mileage they could get out of that mold like boss, pointblank, and nightbeat

 

It's now a numbers game.

If we take POTP as the new normal and a guide for how many waves and figures therein, we're looking at:

8 Masters
9 Legends
13 Deluxe
5 Voyagers
4 Leaders
1 Titan

We now know of 3 Deluxe figures in Mirage, Impactor and Sideswipe, leaving 10 free slots. Running with the idea that we could see Turbomasters and Predators, that could be 8-10 Deluxe figures, depending on if you shrink down Stalker and Rotorstorm or not.

If they're doing bots like Sideswipe, I imagine he'll be accompanied by other G1 mainstays, rather than latter G1 figures.

It doesn't bode well.

 

My speculation now that we know what to expect for WFC.

I'm curious about the scale of these toys too. Maybe someone can scope things out by using the 5mm ports? Might be tough because of how they are posed. Sideswipe looks a little squat too.

With the reveal of Targetmasters, I do wonder if the line will have a few new guys? Unlikely considering Hasbro's lack of imagination, but I think a minigun Targetmaster would be pretty cool. Wonder how big these Targetmasters are? Maybe we can get a good idea of size using them?

 

That's perfect! you can do the four main turbomasters & predators which would 8 deluxes, stalker & rotorstorm the two voyagers, and thunderclash & skyquake could be the one half of the leaders

 

There are 7 Micromasters teams at the Legends Class price point put up at Amazon.

Hound, Ironhide, and Wheeljack, are in Optimus Prime's promotional picture.

Deluxe Class Crosshair, Pointblank and Sureshot; Hasbro likely have the Deluxe Class designs for them going by Fan Vote retool predictions, Generations Deluxe Class Punch-Counterpunch toy, and the Targetmaster theme going on. So reserve 3 Targetmasters at the Battle Masters price point for their Targetmasters too.

That is 9 Autobots in Deluxe Class already, I am guessing the other 4 would be Decepticons, or maybe Ironhide could at Voyager Class.

Hasbro also mentioned Tetrajets; Voyager Class Seekers?

There has to be a Megatron toy somewhere too...

This sounds pretty good to me, that means I would need an Autobot Targetmaster & his partner & the OP & I would be good ha ha.

My wants aside, I wonder if we'll see the double Targetmasters like Landfill & Spinister in this line?

Also, as much as I want a Star Saber or Thunderclash, I wonder if they'll stick more with the American G1 this line to play it safe, then go with more deep cuts next line, like they did with TR.

 

well done thats a well thought out list, i would how ever increase that list of target masters to include the TR characters who didnt have the target masters, target masters it would make sense, just like your list, still a really awsome job, we also have possible g2 repaints of the characters in future lines or in this one
