Wow no more Legends...
Or ....two packs sold as deluxes!
That's the nub, because they both have the -master suffix and the info we have isn't structured in such a way that reveals which -master is at which price point so Micromasters could easily be the Titan Master equivalent (indeed 11 characters across 4 waves is one closer to the number of single Titan Masters than the 10 of Battlemasters).
If my theory were true that would mean both classes coming single-packed but with a more explicitly stated "gotta-catch-'em-all "(or at least "you need the other one to go with this one") marketing line than Battletrap got.
Are all the deluxes going to be sold in two packs or is it just going to be impactor & mirage?
Also I'm really excited for what they do with the micromasters
That would be really cool to get a autobot ducon to go with battletrap and if we get a flywheels I'm thinking he could maybe be either a Walgreens or a new kb toys exclusive.
I'm really crossing my fingers that we get a deluxe of this guy!
Well, based on who this guy could be a pretool for I'd say Pointblank and Nightbeat suddenly went up the WfC speculation ladder.
(and he'd make a pretty good Boss too! but then I got burned thinking PotP Jazz was going to be Hurricane and we were going to get a Turbomaster combiner, so I'm managing my expectations and whispering in brackets)
I agree.I can definitely see this guy being both both boss and pointblank
Also I'm in love with both him and repugnus I'm really excited for when these come come out on amazon!
.... is that punch counter punch POTP!?
No, as far as the engineering goes, he's an average transformer with no ability to utilize Titan/Primemasters or combine. By technicality, he's "Prime Wars"
Also I'm thinking counterpunch might be a teaser for what's to come in war for cybertron
The best part of the Prime Wars trilogy has been its use of 5 mm pegs. So yeah technically they don't have integration, but by default most figures coming out should be able to at least wield the weapons and "integrate" that way. It's tenuous at best but I'm glad we at least got that.
I also I'm disappointed that the jazz mold didn't get any repaints. I really like that mold
I can see that.
Love me some Pointblank, and Nightbeat and Boss too.
I hope this means it's safe to assume the next line won't feature headmasters or combiners as a linewide gimmick.
I do hope those are the characters that they choose to use for this mold in war for cybertron. Especially boss!
Y'know if P/CP is truly a preview of War For Cybertron, I'm wondering if his third mode is an indication that the Deluxes' deal is indeed (as I have posited before, though possibly not in here) a third mode generally across the line/pricepoint whether vehicular or robot-wise (what with two of the Vs. Vote Autobot candidates, Tracks & Wheeljack, both having established third flight modes). Though Warden stated they were relaxing on the 'ecosystem' front that doesn't mean no line- or at least pricepoint-wide gimmicks, eh?
I mean the deluxes and voyagers all come with Micromasters, so theres a gimmick in that sense, but it’s not an intrusive gimmick like combining or headmasters. It’s an external gimmick.
If it were a theme across the line, a Voyager Shockwave in the line could be a real treat for Animated fans...
