saw a sneak preview last night...

and it was bloody wicked...and i do mean bloody...its definitely different from the comic, but still a really good story...and the action was just sweet...i don't wanna spoil any of the big stuff yet, but i bet once more people see this, spoilers will be bound to happen...

james mcavoy was great as wesley...and the way the movie kicks off is just fantastic...angelina jolie was just okay...and only sorta attractive, but then again, i've never been a big fan of hers...and morgan freeman was just excellent...

highly recommend this movie to people who want a good fun action flick...

I just saw it this afternoon and really enjoyed it. I have to agree that Angelina Jolie's performance wasn't the best, but I loved Morgan Freeman's character. This movie flew under my radar till a friend told me to watch the trailer earlier this week. Glad I did.

Plot wise it felt like the movie was having a split-second seizure a couple times, but it did a good job of making everything clearer soon enough.

Everything else wise can be summed up in two words "Holy SHIT!"

At the end I looked over to my posse and I was like "did that just seriously fucking happen?"

Trailers don't do it justice IMHO, go see this movie.

All I want to know is whether there is any mention of:

    - Supervillains ruling the world
    - any mention of Superheroes existing and getting slaughtered
    - and does Shithead make an appearance :lol

I had to do some research into the original comics to figure out what you were even mentioning.

-Kinda, they're more super-assassins, no costumes like Millar had originally intended (he wanted the costumes to stay on only for the initiation scenes, but wtfever)
    -No
    -No

I'm kinda glad it strayed enough from the source material to make it more of an assassin movie and less of a super hero movie (we've got too many of those this summer already, not to say the first two didn't kick ass and that the third one won't), shit just seemed more realisticky...or w/e.

I agree with you on this--the comic felt a little too "oooh, I'm a baaaad maaan" towards the end, but the movie kept everything nicely in check but waaaay over the top. The headshots at the beginning at the end were the coolest deaths by far.

Now I want a "Wanted" game for the Wii where you use the controller to curve the bullets.

    Morgan Freeman stole the show.

    "Shoot this motherf*cker!"

    "Aw fuck."

I loved the part where he shot the guy, rammed the gun in his had and shot people out of the back of the guy's head.

Really liked this movie, it's definitely a purchase. Love the "F U C K Y O *tooth*" part with the keyboard. Just a great scene all around. We saw Wall-E just before this and after being disappointed by the robot and his friend this was a greatly appreciated breath of fresh air.

Finally saw Wanted this afternoon and I rather enjoyed it. I never read the comic so I have no idea how it deviated from the source material. I really liked Morgan Freeman's performance, especially at the end, and Angelina Jolie was pretty hot, despite all the tats. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be Fox's last shot at the end. Even given the film's overall crazy, laws of physics-defying stunts, her last shot was pretty unbelievable.

Anyway, it was a good, summer matinee movie and I liked it.

Saw it yesterday...I liked it alot.

    The Good...
kept the original premise with Wesley's life sucking and his father dieing
    Liked the style of action.
Loved Morgan Freeman as Sloan and whats his name as Wesley.
    Loved the ending

    The bad...
The CGI was pushed just alittle too far in some scenes.
Wish they would've remained Super-villians instead of assassins that follow some higher code.
Hated the Loom plot device...that was just poor writing.
    Curving bullets...no.

    Saw it today. Dug it.

Nothing mind-blowing about it, but enough cool moments that I felt like I got my money's worth. Probably not one I'll ever watch again, though.

Went into this movie expecting to hate it but left the theater surprisingly satisfied.
