It's fairly simple to kitbash your own barrel out of a Lego axle, or one of those plastic dart shafts.
I never said anything about them not being trusty. I said that the pics of the design look like the quality isn't the best. I'd rather get the best bang for my buck. JDproductions isn't open anymore and Transrepro doesn't come with a pin.
I hear you. The guys over there a well aware that their repro gun barrell isn't the best: Looks like I'll have to send my original Binaltech Overdrive gun barrel to get a decent repro one, unless someone is willing to send theirs in.
i knew i shoulda bought one of these awhile ago when i saw them on another site with the pins....i may have to just use MMM idea of using some lego axles....now i just gotta find some cheap lego axles....and then a pin to put through it...unless i could find one with 2 little nubs that would just pop into place and not need to be pinned....
You don't even need a pin, a small nail cut to length is what I used. Unless you know exactly what you are looking at, you can't tell it's not the part that should be there.
MMM, did you have to buy a set of legos to get the axle or do they sell them seperately? and you got any pics? what size nail did you use as well? thanks mucho in advance-o....
Well, I have tons of Lego sets that I've had since I was a kid, so I had spares. I think I used one that was 6 or 8 long. You don't have ANY Legos laying around? As for the nail, I have no idea what size it was. I just dug through my junk drawer until I found one that fit somewhat snugly. A thick enough paper clip may do the trick. Be creative!
nah, all my legos slowly dissappeared as i grew up (my parents did the random fill up a box and get rid of my toys thing when i was young) and i never got into collecting legos....but i can probably find something at work to use....does black or gray look better? i cant remember the gun since mine are both in car mode....
Alright, I got a reply to my E-mail. I'll be sending him my Binaltech gun barrel and it should take roughly 2-3 weeks before he can offer new repros! I'll keep you posted.
