Pretty cool shame the face isn't different but its hardly make or break, biggest disappointment I'd find if I hadn't already got the MP version is that this one does appear to be cast in black plastic rather than having the all over gloss black paint job the MP version has. No surprises there really, Hasbro did the same with Alternators, even when Takara switched to the all plastic (and slightly disturbing) Kiss Players they continued to give them a full paint job, it makes a hell of a difference IMO.

Now if they do a Thundercracker and don't reverse his air intakes like Takara did then I'd be interested, if only so I could buy one and sway them out with my MP Thundercracker.

Didn't hear anything about it, and it'd be totally off the wrong character...but it'd be kinda cool if--at least by the time they release TC--they replace the Archeville character with a detailed "Mustached Man."

    Just for kicks. :D

I can't wait for it! Definitely picking this one up. Bring on TC too!

I can't tell from the pictures but does it have the tampo'd Decepticon logos on the wings? It's kinda hard for me to see.

He does. They're facing right side up though, and not upside down (the correct way for a fighter plane) like on MP Starscream. So they're inconsistent.

No, no it doesn't match. A real F-15E is not at all colored like an MP-03. That may have been Takara's GOAL, but when it comes to matching a Strike Eagle's grey (36118), they had a "massive fail". It's nowhere near. As "common greys used on military jets" go, it's closest to the top color of an F-14, which is a very greenish-bluish grey. (35237---so "tinted blue-green" that it's not even categorized as a grey by the military--they put it in the blue family)

Seriously, hand me a bottle of black and a bottle of white, and I'll mix up "F-15E grey" from memory, and end up a whole lot closer than Takara came. (I won't use any green or for starters---F-15E grey is pretty darn close to "pure" grey---every other F-15 grey has blue or brown or purple in it, but not the Strike Eagle's color)

As I've said numerous times---Takara pleased nobody. MP-03 is not G1 colors, so G1 people are not happy. It is not the color of a real F-15 (ANY type of F-15), so "realism people" and airplane enthusiasts like me are not happy.

(ironically, simply using G1 animation grey would have pleased everybody, by being both a good match to a real F-15 grey, and of course a G1 grey) Hasbro also failed, as they did "off white" instead of "grey"---again, pleasing nobody. G1 SS *is* realistically colored when it comes to the shade of grey used---so changing that means you lose both types of fans--those who want G1 colors, and those who want realistic colors.

No but he means theres a lot more walmarts than comic type shops that take japanesse import toys so ergo he'll be alot easier to find than the takara one

I'm hoping with King Grimlock & Convoy Black we see a Coronation Starscream with the crown & cape, replacing the green with a more standard gray, the maroon with red, and the blue with light blue.

Yeah, but with GREY, and not "white with dirt all over it".

Nope, not at all. Think the first Starscream with red instead of maroon (painted red), gray instead of green, and light blue instead of blue. USA Starscream is white, has an orange red color (not the crimson we tend to get on Japanese Starscreams), and medium blue. Plus he doesn't have all the nice little details and striping that the Japanese Seekers have.

Same here. I intend to hit up Walmart.com the day this is supposed to come out. If that fails, I'm taking a long drive to the nearest store that day. $60 for an MP release is hard to pass up, especially one with such a sweet deco.

I dig bbts but That feels like such a big jump in price. Aren't these like 50?60 at retail? 90 before shipping seems like a lot..
