Wal-Mart lost me when their contracted company Cyber-Test F'ed up my laptop and is taking their time to fix it.

I even tried calling Wal-Mart to complain about their company, and they refused to do anything.

Seriously..these days, they hand out credit cards like candy on Halloween. Get one. People already buying shit they can't afford complaining because some out of date way to buy shit they can't afford is no longer available. Bah. Besides..with plastic, you get to take it home right away.

If you're sooo unclean that MBNA won't give you a card so you can buy shit you can't afford..then it's quite possible..that maybe...you shouldn't be buying shit you can't afford on layaway either. Go buy some food or something.

This way they can make money off their layaway customers with interest, same as everyone else.

I remember how my mom used to buy me Christmas presents. I could pick out any TFs I wanted, and we'd stroll over to layaway and keep them there. Ah, memories. :)

A little OT but: Looking at the pic in the linked article, it seems Wal-mart sell the 'George' clothes line that their UK subsidiary, Asda, design and sell over here. Any chance we can get WM exclusive TFs at Asda then? It seems fair. :D

I don't understand why this in in the news now. They dropped layaway last Christmas. It's been gone for almost a year now.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. This is nothing new. People are just now realizing this is gone?

These people are stupid for just realizing that WM dropped layaway nine months ago. Ironically, I hadn't used layaway for years until the month before they got rid of it to purchase CYbertron Primus.

My guess would be that they aren't smart enough to have read all the signs that were up when they did away with layaway, and now they're trying to do their Christmas shopping and can't. Woohoo! Being poor FTL.

I think they began getting rid of layaway then but finalized the last few stores that held on.

I actually had to file bankruptcy due to a divorce several years ago. I refuse to borrow money or get one of those because of the outrageous interest rates they want to charge. For me to purchase something big I don't have the cash for, layaway would be ideal. It's interest free unlike the only CC I can get.

It's been gone in my local stores for a good while. Macon, GA is a pretty bumfuck city so I can't imagine other places actually being behind here, but whatever

Why don't you instead take the money that you would have spent in small increments to buy the Wii, and put them in a savings account until you have enough to buy a Wii?

CC are never an option for me either. if i dont have the cash to get it now, layaway was always a good option. Layaway was ruined by people that would put huge layaways in and never get them out.or return the stuff. makes the benefit of lataway a very cost causing thing for stores. the only place left for now that does layaway is KMart and Schottensteins/Value city department stores.
