In the movie comic Mirage/Dino dies, Wheeljack lives..... and Megatron lives?
whats so confusing?
the comic is obviously different from the movie
movie novel and comic adaptations are not always the same as the movie. Watch the movie and there is nothing to be confused about. Notice they are called Mirage and Wheeljack in the comic and not in the movie.
Can you be a bit more specific about what you are confused about?
I mean it had been following the movie pretty much the same for the first 3 issues, a few differences but who lives and dies were always a constant I thought.
Yeah, I believe they follow early versions of the script like the ROTF adaptations. The finalized script was used for the film, and the adaptations followed the unfinished (and often better) version.
Ah Ok! thanks. I like the comic version better.
Yeah, the comic is very different. My guess is Dino was spared at Ferrari's request, and Megatron died because the concept of him and Optimus calling truce is stupid considering all the shit Megatron's disturbed and how many human and Autobot lives he's taken. (Including Optimus')
The comics and novels don't always reflect what the movie will do.
The RotF comic showed Scalpel being killed and Megatron slinking off to raise his Decepticon army. Neither of those things happened.
To be expected. For the most part, the major plot points will be intact, but often times as the finalized script changes up some things, those aren't reflected in the adaptiond.
pre screenings probably had them change the ending
Megatron not dying is a pretty big difference....
Well, Wheeljack/Que dies in both version, only in a different way. His death in the movie resembled the way Mirage/Dino was supposed to die, so I think Ferrari is the main cause of all this. They probably didn't want "their" bot to die, which sucks, tbh. They should be glad their car is in the movie to start with, if you ask me, but whatever.
Megatron dying is probably because they wanted to end it. If Megatron survived, he could still return for a future movie, but Bay probably wanted to show that this is the end. At least the end of him directing these movies. Just a guess though. I wouldn't have mind if they stayed with the comic/novel ending.
I don't think that the movies gave Megatron the right characterization to warrant the truce ending.
I really think that the majority of viewers would have been..."What.The.Hell. Prime lets him walk away? After all that? Why?"
Movie ending works for the movie, comic/novel ending works for the comic/novel. End.
if they continue the comic book series, how are they gonna kill megatron to not confuse the readers?
Separate names with a comma.
