    Greetings gang!

Sorry its been a bit since I posted last, been really really sick this last week an a half but feeling much better now! I tried to get things done but you know how it is when your down with the sickness, right?

Anyway, I did manage (between sneezes & coughing fits ) to get the basics of Spoilsport's arms done.( please excuse the nasty lookin' "pins" on his arms, they're just there to hold his arms together for the pics). So why is his left shoulder white you ask? Well, I learned the hard way that itsy-bitsy teeny-weeney parts fly very far, very fast when the dremel grabs 'em outta your fingers & flings 'em halfway across the known universe!! I tried for hours to find the original shoulder ( wanted to keep as much of him "G-1" as I could) but never found it. I hadda make a new one from a small block of styrene that was then sculpted down to nearly the same dimensions as the right shoulder, only "mirrored". The double-jointed elbows are made from the ABS retainer strips the the larger Voyager sized figures are twist-tied to. This material makes for a very snug, lasting joint that wont wear down but at the same time, in this scale, is very very hard to work with. The little hands were donated by an old "Ultramarines" Space Marine I had laying around & were pretty heavily re-sculpted as well.

As you can see by the pics, his new arms have some serious articulation goin' on! 5 points ea. when finished ( haven't yet made the ball-socket joints for the hands) He's pretty far from bein' done altogether, at this point I'd have to say he's only about 45% there. Lots to go!

As always, comments, crits & ideas are heartily welcomed!

    Pic 3- The "Hero" pose

Pic 4- These stand-ins aren't his real guns BTW, the final ones will be smaller, identical & magnetically mountable to his "backpack"

    Pic 5- school "Book-holding punishment " pose

Pic 6- Arms flipped around to show more

    Pic 7- And, STREEEEEEEEEETCH!!!
( just realized looking at this pic that there's a dimensions issue that needs to be corrected with his left arm)

Pic 8- Arm & Hand detail shot

Pic 9- Side view ( his backpack is just held on by blue-tack & for height ref.)

Pic 10- Size comparison with Shadow Warrior. S.W.'s still taller if you measure Spoilsport from the bottoms of his feet to the top of the backpack's cannon tips! Yay!:)

Thanks my friend! An thanks also for the nice compliment!:thumb  He is turning out to be more complicated than I'd originally planned but, what the hey!

Thanks! To what are you referring? the base figure or the other materials used?

    Thanks very much!
Thank ya sir! & thanks too for the compliment! You betcha he's gonna transform! An most likely he'll trasnform better than the original. The goal is to make his alt. mode look more like a largish rifle than a pistol. :D

I never thought to use pins like that for articulation. That's genius!
I love how it's coming along so far!

All of it, the materials and the especially those pin things, are those scratch built or from an existing piece?

Well, he's made from an original, honest-to-god, G1 Spoilsport targetmaster figure. The feet that were molded to the bottoms of his legs were verrrrrry carefully sawed off, heavily modded to look like the IDW artwork & given teeny-tiny pop-joints from MEGA-BLOKS "Plasma Dragon Battle Realm Booster Pack" figures. There are 8 figures to a box & ea. one has 5 pop-joints! Very good for customizing purposes. The rest of the figure so far is a combination of styrene bits, Ave's "Apoxie-sculpt", the waist joint from a tiny NEO-Shifters guy & some leftover PV joints from some old MACROSS models. The pins that I've used are simple straight pins that you can get at almost any dept. store! The tiny hands are heavily modified from a GAMES WORKSHOP space marine miniature.

    Hope that helps!

I never really got a feeling of the scale until I saw the last picture. That's intricate work!
Maybe you can pose him with even larger figures to really drive home the sense of scale in this project.

Very clean work, I like it!
