    Hi all.

Well 2 nights ago I could not sleep I had this thought rattling around my head and just had to get it out and because I suck at drawing the only thing I could do was build it.

I took as many photos as I could but at 1 stage I was in the zone and did not stop Sorry.

I really wanted something for my Dinobots to fight other than Devastator and thought the insecticons would fit that bill.

Well I have started with Shrapnel and will be making the other 2 as well shortly after. He stands The same height as MP Slag And Grimlock.

This again if all works out well will be casted and up for sale later this year.

Still have so much to do but as always let me know your thoughts.

I really liked wikkids photo of slag hurt so just had to add that here as well.

I will be adding lots of bulk to the legs and other places

    All the best Dawgstar

Very interested to see how this progresses. How tall do you anticipate it to be once finished?

That's some phenomenal speed - I wish I could build that quick, but I'm more of a 'measure five times, cut once, change my plans and do it again' kinda guy.

What thickness of styrene is that? 2-3mm? Looks nice and chunky.

    Foamalux

    Hi.
No ,not styrene, I use Foamalux (Link Here) for the main build.
Its is very easy to cut and sand and is ridged like styrene but cost 5th of the price. It is 3mm and 5mm that I am using

I will be using styrene for the detail parts only because it just cost so much.

I highly recomend it to everyone.

    a little about it

    Machining:
Suitable for guillotining, die cutting, sawing, drilling, milling and routing

    Forming and Fabrication:
Suitable for folding, drape forming, thermoforming, hot air welding and hot plate welding

    Hope that helps people out

I know that Danilko uses it after I recommended it to him and he found it in Belgrade,Serbia.
I am sure if you do a quick internet search you will find some. Ebay has some in the UK so you if you get stuck look there

    hope it helps.

I mean this in the most respectful, complimentary way possible... but looking at scratch-build projects like this makes my brain hurt.
    Ouch... ouch... ouch...
