I've been working on this guy very slowly. I got this far and wanted to see how it looked so far, so I put him back together. My plan is to keep some of yellow bits, but not too much. Right now, there is a little too much yellow. I may also put in a bit of purple. I may not finish this guy for a while. Maybe by december since I'm only working on it little by little.

I resculpted the head with hot glue. It's not even, but I think it looks good that way.

As per advice, I have smoothed out the faceplate as much as I can.

I'm not sure. I'll probably keep the head like that. I'm not sure I'll give him a partner just yet. This originally started out just because I wanted a Green version of Bumblebee. I LOVE the limited edition synergy green Camaro. I decided to go with Wasp since green is his color.

Why use hot glue to do the head?

Because I am cheap and amateur. I use hot glue for everything. I really do. Lol. I find ways of making hot glue work for most of my needs. I also like the look of sculpted hot glue, thought it would work well for this. Also too lazy to go out and get something else. And depending on what it's used for, hot glue can be very durable.

This looks really cool. Excellent breakup of the colors and your paint apps seem really smooth. I just gotta say that the head takes away a little bit from it. Part of Wasps appeal in any line has always been his really feindish and slick headsculpt.I think with a little patience you could come up with a really awesome and more fine tuned mug for this guy because everything else looks reallly great!

Neat. I'm a little surprised I haven't seen something like this before.
    Looks great so far.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I was going for sort of an in between head sculpt of Wasp and Waspinator. I'm not a huge huge collector, so I don't have spare parts, nor do I buy figures for spare parts. I really did not want to just do a straight repaint of Bumblebee's head, so I have resculpting a try. I agree that there could be some improvement, and I may redo it, improving on my idea. Because right now, the feel of my head sculpt is sort of organic/battle damaged. Or as if his head was melted down from a different one. I'm not sure right now. When I finalize this custom, it may just very well be my favorite.

the head could definitely use some work but more in the line of finetuning than anything else.smoothing out the face plate would go a long way in this head design

Yeah, there was a bit of rub off because I had put him back together wrong.

    Yeah, I was thinking that.
