so, I got Sunstorm today, and its my first time buying the Voyager Starscream mold. Now, there's a feature to slide up the blasters to reveal pop out panels on his forearms.
Now, what are they for? For me, I imagined them being solar panels for Sunstorm to absorb energy, but obviously that has nothing to do with Starscream or skywarp. Any ideas?

Wow, I just realised that the mold does that, and I've had it since it came out.. So sad, I know. Oh well.

Its ok, I had no idea except seeing it in the instructions for Sunstorm, maybe it wasn't in the Starscream ones?

    They're laser blasters.

I DO like the idea of solar panels on Sunstorm.

Nope, they're on there and in the instructions.

Just many tf collectors skip out on the instructions. :p

perhaps they'll be incorporated into season 3 if Starscream gets his body back as a new weapon (like the newly discovered mouth blaster he has?), wouldn't be the first time that a toy feature has been incorporated into the show later (like Lugnut's mace in season 2)

I just realized Screamer had these, it's like, they're cool, but they don't reall do anything.

For my TFA Sunstorm the blasters are stricktly boring blasters... With the "panel's" out they become some sort of Super sun blast... Yah as long as it's Sunstorm he should have a ridiculously powerful energy blast..

They're meant to be supplemental arm cannons.
