    it looks like almost every movie released this year is up for an mtv award :p 

    we'll see how long transformers lasts in the competition.

    I agree with the people who find it odd that digital characters can't be up for some awards that only flesh and blood characters seem to get the nominations for.

    The Oscars in a weird way I can sort of see why digital actors get snubbed because the Academy isn't exactly an organization that always embraces the new and rather award the old traditional ways.

    MTV though is supposed be about the newest of the new. Younger people have gotten used to digital actors as just a legitimate part of film as the flesh and blood actors. If a team of computer effects people can breath life into a character and a voice actor give the digital character a personality then why not put them in for the awards?

    Yeah it was pretty good CGI and that's pretty much it for ROTF.

    i think your right, i think they only nominate fights with the actors not gci characters

    Because it's cheaper to have a live actor accept an award than an animated character. Plus its all about the show, and a bunch of effects guys and voice actor won't deliver the same star power.

    Other than that, I agree. A performance is a performance, it shouldn't matter how it was created, but they're probably not going to go down that route.
