    World War Hulk

Based on these 4 options, please pick your top vote (one only please).

It's a tough call between it and 52, but I'm going to have to go with Sinestro Corps.

Well, WWH and 52 sucked donkey nuts, and I don't read Transformers, so Sinestro Corps War wins by default.

Though I would have voted for it anyway, as it was a kick ass storyline.

...oh wow, those two comics won the last two years?

Um...I guess out of those I'll have to take 52. Sinestro Corps War and World War Hulk were both big event comics that had a lot of action and plot relevance for future stories, and I liked them both, but they were hardly among the best of 07. Never read Escalation, but I guess I can't fault that being on a Transformers message board.

    Transformers: Escalation

52 would have got my vote but it turned in to a mess.

World War Hulk was underwhelming totale.

52 gets my vote effortlessly. I loved every issue of it.

My vote is for Sinestro Corps War. Perfect mix of action and characterization, restricted to just a few titles, good pace and overall very good art (GLC had a few missteps in the artistry, though). While it was a little continuity-heavy, the story was easy to get into. Plus, it gave the Cyborg Superman his own comic. Not just the best of 2007, but one of the best (traditional, Big Two superhero) comic stories I've read period.

As for the others...Escalation was pretty good, but not something that I'd consider high enough quality for a best of the year. World War Hulk I didn't read because the premise sounded stupid and I'm boycotting Marvel. 52, I thought averaged out to very good, but it wasn't consistent; some of the plotlines were really good (Black Adam, Ralph Dibny, Booster Gold) but others were boring (Lost in Space, Questoya, Infinity Inc). The series also dragged in the middle and WWIII was disappointing.

Loved 52, but the weak ending killed it for me (especially when held against Sinestro Corps War)
