That's not usually the case with SoC, from what I've seen. BBTS's bump in price was just a reaction to demand. For instance, SoC Dancouga GX-13 was $200 when it was released 14 years ago. It's still $200 with GX-13R...and that's with some updated tooling and paint apps. SoC GoLion should stay at $299...the only reason it would cost more is because of gouging or an unforeseen increase in Yen.
The MSRP of SoC Dancouga GX-13 was 20,790 yen The MSRP of SoC Dancouga GX-13R is 27,000 yen For straight reissues that price will stay around the same, but if they do anything like recolor or R, or special marking, or even make it's a Tamashii web exclusive then the price would normally goes up.
Only way I see that price going down is if it doesn't sell well. And the ONLY reason I can see it not selling well would be because everybody who wanted it already bought the first release. But it's worth pointing out that I don't think that scenario is very likely
Don't be afraid to push the arm tails all the way into the lip. If you go too far, the tail is accessable from underneath (by the connector). See photos for more details and enjoy your day.
I found all four classic limbs at a different Walmart today. One of each. Voltron 84 is complete. Feels great man.
First time poster on here. I just found all 4 limbs at a Target in NJ. They only had one set so I snagged them. Pretty nice. Wish they had numbers on them.
I Think they left the numbers off because its cartoon accurate that they are not on them. Honestly I'm glad they did I think it looks better. It might have been nice to add a sticker with a number in each package to anyone who might like to apply them though.
Yea. That makes sense. A few of them just seem like something is missing I feel like. At least it’s an easy fix.
I never understood the point of the numbers anyways. Seemed like they toymakers thought kids would be especially dumb reading instructions so they numbered the lions instead of just putting RED, BLUE, GREEN or YELLOW in the text.
It was a Bandai/Popy thing. They often added some extra styling to their DX robot toys that wasn't present in the animation. I think the most famous is the numbers and extra markings on the DX Voltes V "Volt in a Box". So much so that Bandai made an extra limited release SOC homage to that color scheme as well as the regular.
I kinda like the numbers. I guess I'm just used to them from the classic toy. I certainly noticed the very Popy-like Transitron toy from that Toy story short had the numbers on it.
That's not it at all. It's very common and popular to number units of a combiner team. Lots of Megazords did/do it. It's something Japan likes to do.
