There is just something aesthetically "off" on the EX for me, can't quite place it, but I do not care for it at all.
Same. I like the slightly stylized aesthetic but the proportions, design, and "character" seem off. The Legendary figure is far cheaper and while full of flaws, I'd rather dedicate shelf space to a design I like than a Voltron that doesn't quite feel like Voltron to me, y'know?
It's weird, but I actually agree with what you're saying and the quirkiness of it makes me want it. What are you putting "not" in quotations as if you answered my question? Is a yes or no thing and you didn't. It's not a big deal, bud and nothing to attempt to circle-post back and forth about. -------------- Really wishing I had more room because the more I look at the bigger, plastic L.D. set, the more I appreciate just how well it looks in terms of representing the source.
That is true! Although mine are still in their gorgeous packaging. I love to just look at them and smile. I can't wait for the die cast versions coming out soon to retail stores and other vendors such as bbts.
Yeah, I want both. Well, all three I guess. LD Combinign lions, the Ultimate Voltron, and the Die Cast one. Each one fills a specific goal for me, the Legendary lions ar ethe best lions and have a big, chunky Megazord-y combination, the Ultimate ones is accurate and articulated, and the Die Cast one is a more managable size akin to the old Trendmasters Voltron I had as a kid, and will probably be the most "played with" one. I bet Playmates is happy to hear that I'll be buying three of the same guy.
Bbts Just raised their soc voltron price to $349.99. Wow two price hikes in less than a month or so. I'm wondering when they will sell out. Glad I got mine for $299 and my second one cheaper. Good luck to those still wanting one or deciding on it.
The Black lion is shipped in cases of two, and the rest are packed four per case, with one of each (red, green, blue, yellow). Who are these people that buy just one or two lions when all of them available? What is the point in that? The few times I've seen them at Walmart there is either just one or two different lions, or they have them all but what is there doesn't even out. Local Walmart appears to have received a few cases recently, but had fewer red and green lions compared to the blue and yellow. I'm not including the black lion in this because it ships separately and is a different item for stores.
The walmarts in my area appear to only have the red and green. I wonder if they changed the case pack (for whatever stupid reason...)
The price hikes probably reflect that they are having to go through more expensive suppliers in order to maintain some stock. They are having to bundle import costs in as opposed to simply getting more domestic from Bluefin.
The price hike is also probably due to them being the only legit website left carrying SOC Voltron. Every other place I have seen is sold out. (Or if it is in stock, it's even more expensive and from someplace shady).
Hey Mattress, could you please delete that post where you quoted me, apparently there is disclaimer in the BBTS email that request that their responses aren't shared. Overall, I am still very happy with their service.
