V-Dub FTW. Give us the Scirocco! Put W12 into production! And the GX3! And the Golf W12-650 while at it!

    They're alright.

I used to be when I first got my 2000 VR6 Jetta.

    ...And then the issues started.
    Problems with the windows. (Recalled)
    Problems with the coolant feed.
    Problems with the temperature gauge.
    Problems with eletrical system
Problems with vibration when idle (Which they could never figure out the cause)
    Expensive parts.

I didnt exactly shed any tears when I replaced it.

    I had a 2003 VW Golf GTI.

Loved it, right up until it dropped the gearbox and I swapped it for a 2006 Passat.

I now drive a 2000 Ford Fiesta. Damn these fuel prices.

I drive a mauve '73 Super-beetle. Or something like that, I'm not really sure anymore, its not even the original color and it needs some SERIOUS work.
Oh well, beggers can't be choosers, especially when they're 17 and don't have any other options.

My first car was a 1987 VW Jetta MKII. I loved that car and drove it into the ground around 200K miles. It would've kept marching on with more upkeep, but at that point I moved on to a new car. I still miss it.

Sid and Shin Gouki, if they're still around, are pretty big VW fans as well. You can also check out VWvortex.com.

Aren't most VW vehicles, especially bugs, notorious for needing constant maintenance and upkeep?

Not mine. All I've done is change the oil and all the basic stuff. He's been running beautifully every since I got him like 5 years ago.

I have a yellow 2003 VW Beetle named Bumblebee. It's my dream car and the one I've wanted since I was 8 and became a fan of Bumblebee (well, okay I wanted the classic kind back then, but my New Beetle is better because it's an automatic with much better safety features). Cameros are cool but Bugs rule!

In the two years that I owned my '87 Jetta, the only thing it needed was a replaced alternator and starter.

And some JB Weld to seal up the oil pan after I got stupid on a slick road. :confused2
