There are some robots I just can't put on my shelves. Too many awkward questions. PE Volcanicus shouldn't be a problem, though. I think.

 

Still looks like Slag/Slug is humping Grimlock's leg.

 

I wish we knew if they really intend to recolour all the Dinobots. I'd get one set for Volcanicus, and the other as standalone figures.

 

Doesn't Snarl have Doryu's overhead guns in stegosaurus mode? That suggests they'll be used as Dinoking one day (or at least that they've done tooling in preparation).

 

I think I did see that in one pic, then never again... Does seems we've been given unintentional glimpses at retools of a few things (like how they blocked out Hun-grrr's head in the grey proto revel...)

 

Touche good sir, touche! I had forgotten about that one. I got the Robot Spirits Gundam Nuu blue version that is almost a counterpart to Nightingale, and yea, I agree that some figures are just a bit too much in the "awkward" proportions department. I didn't mind getting the Sentinel Jehuty and Anubis figures though. At least Volcanicus with the PE kits are actually fairly believable, and it'll be fun to get a complete dinobot combiner. It won't necessarily be akin to Shuraking or other 3rd party dinobots, but it'll be a cool figure when completed. Good times!

 

Snarl was *pictured* with it back during one of the convention displayed. However, he's packaged with a sword. No gun.

So, yeah, Hasbro tipped their hand there.

 

It seems they've got everything they need for Dinoking except for Gairyu. And they'll probably 'forget' him, anyway.

Yes but i would change the i in dino to y to represent power generation and myte to might to say strength or bulky build. 

 

It'd be a rather ironic name. Cons would make jokes that the Dinobots are already extinct, hence the name...  

That's kinda what I like about it. Same as how Predaking has a lion head on his torso, this way Volcanicus can grab an enemy Gestalt and bite it at the same time.

Got the last 2 guys today and my elder boy said he looks hungry. Promptly placed an energon cube for him to munch on.

 

Paid pre order prices so was a couple of tenners less than retail.

Fan modes do look better and can’t wait for the PE kit to be released. Here’s the torso in recommended configuration too.

 

Any chance you could swap Slug and Snarl? I would really like to see Snarl as as arm.
