Now that Wheeljack has been confirmed it's time to think of what actor would be suited for him. Someone German, Someone who voice transformers cartoon before, Christopher Llyod like a lot of people requested since he resembles Doc Brown, or do you think this is one of Mark Ryan's several voices this movie?
Mark Ryan can pull it off nicely. But, Wheeljack's confirmation came from an extra. Like I said in my post "You can take the following information with a grain of salt or jump with joy...". We'll have to wait for an official confirmation from Michael Bay and/or Nelson.
But again, it was an extra. It isn't an official announcement like Shockwave. As of right now, it is just rumor. Notice that he doesn't name the Ferrari. For all we know, he is just assuming that is the name based on a lot of people guessing that the Einstein bot is Wheeljack.
Isn't it possible he referred to the Mercedes as Wheeljack because that's what we're calling him on the boards, and not necessarily because the crew used the name.
Depends on how old Wheeljack is in the movie. If he's the foot and four toes in the grave decrypted old robot head we saw then Christopher Lloyd has shown he can do an elderly Doc Brown voice in Piranha 3D. If he's a younger bot then I'd go for either Adam Savage or Jamie Hyneman from Mythbusters. They invent crazy stuff that is fated to blow up so they seem like a perfect choice to me.
I wouldn't mind any of the following: John Cleese Christopher Lloyd Paul Bettany Danny DeVito (sounds a bit like the original voice) Tim Blake Nelson
I wouldn't say that "Wheeljack" has been officially confirmed as a name yet. But, Christopher Llyod would be a good voice for him, yeah.
Charlie Adler. Since Chris Latta voiced the two in the old cartoon, why not give Adler a shot? I think it would be interesting to see what he comes up with...
