I was just curious if anyone knows why the Optimus voice changer helmet from DOTM is so ridiculously priced on the secondary market? I've seen prices from 39.99 to well over 100.00 on the internet for this thing.

    1. Cause they felt like that price.
    2. A precedent was set by someone buying it for near those prices.

Almost wish I had bought one (not for resale, but for display), but the damn thing just looked too damn big for me. Grabbed a couple at different times as presents for about $5 each. Hell, the DOTM ones are still at tons of stores around here. May see if they are on clearance and grab one. For some reason I was thinking the earlier versions.

Edit: Was thinking the earlier version that I got for about $5.

I'm looking for a real reason, something specific

Someone said that either the 2007 or 2011 version had Gary Chalk's voice, so I thought maybe that was the reason.
