I don't know if anyone else has asked this, so if they have this can be deleted. Just wanted to see which voice more people are anticipating to hear: Soundwave or The Fallen.
since there is nothing to base what the Fallen's voice should sound like, I would like a deep raspy voice. (i.e. Orson Wells - yes I realize he's dead, just an example) I'm hoping for more of a G1 voice for Soundwave, I hated his voice in the Cybertron series
As far as anyone knows, the Fallen may not even speak at all. But I'm definitely hoping that Soundwave does, and that he'll have his monotone voice. I may not be a G1 purest, but Soundwave just isn't Soundwave without that cylon voice.
Even though Soundwave has to have the same basic voice/tone BY LAW at this point, its always interesting to see just how his voice will sound. Any series he's been in (G1, Cybertron, Animated) brings a little something different to the table while still keeping with the monotone.
I guess it would be more Anticipation/Dread for me. I just sort of have this idea in my head of what Soundwave should sound like so either he sounds like that and I think hey something cool about the film or he doesn't and I feel let down. I really don't have a voice that I identify yet with The Fallen so as long as they hire a good voice actor for the part I'm sure that voice will become my default Fallen voice.
They need to dig Orson Wells up and force him at gunpoint to come back to life and do the voice of The Fallen, or else they'll shoot him dead.
Never really thought about it but I'll of course choose Soundwave. He's on of my favorites and as far as I know, the Fallen has nothing to previously go by. As long as they keep Soundwave G1 like, I'll be happy but if not, oh well. Truthfully, I'm more interested in hearing Starscream's. I know we've already heard it but one line is not much to go by and with all this talk of making him more G1 like, I'm actually worried. I don't like G1 Starscream.. well ok, he is good for a laugh but that's about it... and I'm assuming they chose Charles Adler to voice him because of his previous roles such as Ickis, Mechanikles, and Spike. I could see any one of those voices being Movie Starscream which is fine by me. I just don't want them to ruin a character for me that I liked so much by making him annoying and whiny like G1.
if i was welker an they asked me to come do the voice for soundwave i'd eb all ohhhh now you want my voice do you, not good enough for megatron am i not hmmmm i'd liek the voice to be the same but it amy sound stupid, so a lil more life in his voice but that same sound comin from it is fine for me
Well, to be fair Megatron and Soundwave are two completely different personalities. Hugo Weaving was an awesome Megatron, and it suited his design and personality. I wouldn't be offended if I was turned down for one character, but picked for another.
I think Welker not doing Starscream was the biggest disappointment for me in the first movie......that and Optimus getting thrown around like a sack of taters by Megatron!
