Every time I watch a video on Youtube, I get at least 5 of these ads that say "Meet single girls in [my town name]" and "Looking for a boyfriend" chatting ads.

I think it all started when this faux virus checking scanner called "PC Tools" started popping up everyday around 6 p.m. I never even downloaded the damn thing, but I recently found out about it and removed it.

I tried to use Norton 360 to remove the ads but with no luck.

Does anyone have any helpful advice?

Best bet is try a system restore. If you can remember when it started happening, just set it for like a day or two before that.

Here's the thing. I know it's been going on for weeks, but I don't know the exact day.

I'm afraid that if I try a system restore it will delete something important as well.

    Step 1: Get Google Chrome
    Step 2: Get Adblock Plus
    Step 3: ????
    Step 4: PROFIT!!!

But in all seriousness, get an adblocker on your internet browser.

Yup. I don't remember the last time I've seen an ad on youtube.

It's been a while since I've had to run a restore, but it should only affect any installed programs. Any documents, pictures, music, heck even save files on games, should all be fine. (but, again, it's been a while, so you might want to double check that)

Look at your add-ons. You might have downloaded an extension that also doubles as a derpy advert placer.
