I wanted to try my hand at an era piece. I used a Spare Swindle from Target's Bruticus Maximus...
    Still a WIP
He Transforms into a Sikorsky UH-34 Choctaw helicopter:
    (BTW I need a name, He's a Decepticon)

Wow, that's a lot of sculpting involved there, what'd you use for compound? Nice detail too...

Hey...that's fun! Will the sculpt harden completely? What are you using? If you take some sandpaper to it once it hardens, you could probably really tighten up the details!

I'll keep an eye on this!

its a 2-part epoxy welding putty called Kwik-plastik
Dropzone works for me, nicely done mate, thanks.
Thanks mate! yeah I will be sanding it down to hopefully make it less bubbly. And the compound is called Kwik-plastic

Yeap he still can Transform. I need to wait for the putty to fully cure (over night), sand him, and add some tail fins.

Nice! I would have suggested Locust for a name. Looking forward to bot mode pics.

Shadow Viper. :)  Or if you have enough semi-namesakes, Air Quake.

*edit* For a more obscure(albeit ******ed sounding) namesake, you could name him Autobot Wild Spike. :lol

Great idea, and love the amount of work you've put into it! Building up over a preexisting tf using a different transformation is pure genius! Can't wait to see it done!

Thanks everyone, but misternewuzer had already won the Name on the First Try with Dropzone
Here are the finished construction(look at his legs, as i had to fill in a gap with a plastic plate, and added his tail wings) and sanding of the figure(still have some rough spots, but pretty much done)and I will be black coating him shortly:

Nicely done - it looks like we had similar ideas - I'm working on a WW2 era figure myself. I'll have to try the Kwik-plastic.

Agreed on the name, Dropzone is a great choice.
