I'm still contemplating on whether I should get this and sell/trade my voyager Bulkhead or just stick with the voyager and not pick up the leader.

    Decisions, decisions.

Leader Bulky is an amazing figure. He has been sat on my desk now for a while and I never get tired of him.

I would say, however, that I find his legs to be a little too long and wish that they were as stumpy as the voyager versions. Other than that, he is outstanding.

I'm definitely going to have to get two of these so I can swap the hands. That sawblade hand looks like ass to me, even with the sawblade removed.

I like the saw blade. Though I wish they had used his beefy arms do do a flippy-fist thing that gave him the wrecking ball instead. (or at least the wrecking ball fist like he uses sometimes)

Dude, you making a big mistake. Open Voyager Bulkhead, man, he's amazing. Some say he's better than Leader.

Yeah, Voyager Bulkhead is a really fantastic figure. He was my first Animated toy and even after handling the awesomeness of Grimlock, Lugnut, Voyager Prime and Prowl, Voyager Bulkhead is still my favorite Animated toy.

I'll be getting the Leader version because I'm a fan of the character, but just going by comparison photos I like the overall design and look of the Voyager version quite a bit more.

The voyager has better proportions. I wish the Leader one had a wider torso and stumpier legs. The wrecking ball would have been great if retained.

Nonetheless I still want this figure due to the headmaster gimmick and size.

just got leader. voyager better but both are worth having.

anyone have any idea on how to get the mouth feature to work better? if his mouth/brow start off in the most closed position, they do not open when the head turns. If I start by pushing them open a bit, then they open a little more when the head turns, but it should really go from all the way closed to all the way open.

this is my second bulkhead as the first ones left arm/shoulder clip was broken and i had to return it. the first ones head/mouth feature worked excellent, so i know it should be better than it is.

In terms of 'cartoon accuracy', both toys have certain advantages over the other.

    Voyager:
Closer relative body proportion (wide body, stumpier legs, larger/longer arms)
Has 'wheel shapes' on the elbows
Has wrecking ball as opposed to buzzsaw and 'air torpedoes'
'cleaner' vehicle mode without extra weapons attached

    Leader:
More consistent in relative scale with other deluxe and Voyager Autobot toys.
Many part shapes and details appear closer to cartoon appearance (rounded arms, slumped shoulders/posture, back kibble, head not sunken into the body, torso details, tread feet.)
Vehicle kibble organized into a more coherent 'backpack', and can form a 'kibble chair'
Vehicle mode does not have a hole in the roof.

It's up to each individual to decide which aspects of each is more important to them. Personally, I'm liking the leader version more right now (unusual for me as I'm not normally a fan of big toys), though that might be mostly novelty of the new for the moment.

Maybe they'll make a SUPREME sized Bulkhead that is proportionate, has a transforming Headmaster gimmick, AND has twin wrecking balls. I'd love to have a Leader class Bulkhead, just to be in scale, but I don't like the things they just "tacked" on like the torpedoes or that ridiculous thing over the head in vehicle mode. I also strongly dislike the buzzsaw on his right hand.

My leader Bulkhead's mouth & eyebrow feature doesn't work at all unless I manually push his mouth down with my finger. I didn't check it in the store. Maybe the other one was better. I was considering returning it, but at the end of the day that feature isn't a deal breaker for me. I can live with it the way it is, but I am slightly disappointed that it came that way.

I returned a Leader Megatron and thought of getting Leader Bulkhead just for him and his scale. But, I passed him up because of his size and I wasn't that impressed. I wish he had twin wrecking balls instead of the buzzsaw and didn't have the torpedoes. Those parts were the main reason WHY I passed him up.
