Shot an update video today for a few figures, including showing off a second hand mod for Human Alliance Bumblebee, and some simple backpack mods for Deluxe Skids and Deluxe Mudflap.

    The video is here:

Don't worry, once my second HA Bee gets here and I complete the figure, I'll be shooting step-by-step pictorials on how to do these mods.

Can't wait to see how you've improved Mudflap - he's my favorite of the twins & this backpack mod could only make him that much better!

thanks Peaugh! :thumb  The mod on Skids was great. I was getting annoyed at the backpack hampering the head movement.

Nice, now I gotta watch it on a real computer which will be tomorrow, yay. Nice to know your initial idea of flippin the hand and pluging it into the wrist works.

...this is awesome. All of it.

Bumblebee's just too expensive to buy two of, though. :(  I'll have to find and paint up a different hand to make your mod work. (Nice job, btw.)

As for Mudflap and Skids...just simply awesome. Nice to know cutting isn't entirely necessary for some of the mods. (Mudflap)

Good thing I have the Dremel handy, should make cutting that tab on Skids to be more precise.

nice stuff man. a thought about BB's hands...they look from the vid similar to jetfire's, where a long pin goes through them (minus the thumb) using a hot knife or lots of cuts with an x-acto blade, you can prolly cut between them to let them move independantly. Shame hasbro keeps making these hands with straight fingers, not a fan of that.

Awesome mods, man :thumb  I can't say much about the twins since I don't have the toys yet, but I was able to get the HA BB; your mod works very nicely :thumb

Yeah, I figured it would work pretty well, and it turned out even better than I was hoping. Now if my second Bee would just GET HERE I could finish it up! :lol

Also, HA Bee is closer in scale with the deluxe twins than deluxe bee is, at least according to the few shots we have of all three together in robot mode in the flick.

As good as it is I unfortunately can't fork out another £30 for another BB (poor me.) I will however buy Ironhide, Skids or Sideswipe when they release.
