why do you guys keep saying its damage control? I think its just them trying to drive home the fact people ARE going to be disapointed, if they are expecting a professionally done CG cartoon, and rightfully so.

    Why Damage Control ?
for one reason - they learned from recent leaked data, images and fans negative reactions, that they blew it. So what one would do in such a case ? Would probably try to minimize the damage by several acts. In our case, shooting had already begun. Pre production stages are all doen. So how do you minimize the damage the leaked data caused ? You make videos like this. Videos that would try poorly convience the fans that this is gonna be an awesome movie. Not to mention Hasbro's COO Letter a few days ago (Can't remember the guy's name at the moment). So there. That's why we call it damage control.

Personally, the only thing that this video gave me - is another reson NOT to go and see it when it is finished. Due to the fact that Murphy said clearly that the fans that expect to see MTMTE in live action, are going to be really disapointed.
Thanks Murphy for giving me another reason not go and see it!

Damage control is needed if you are going to roll a warm dog turd in aluminum shards and try and pass it off as Megatron. That and thick gloves.

Blah blah....remember how X-men was? Geeeze how many times did he refer to X-men? Sure the fans didn't like the costumes at first, but at least we could still recognize who they were. It's just lame to compare the two.

How could the orginal designs not translate well on screen especially when done by ILM? Just seems to me that Bay made all the wrong decisions and now they are covering their ass to save face.

The damage control aspect comes from thevast amount of negativity regarding the designs we've seen. Megatron is a pile of shite as megatron, and now they have found out that their final design is a big fuck-up. So, they come out saying that these designs aren't anywhere close to final, after bay confirms that Megs is gfinal through his message board. They are trying to quell the fan outrage so that the negativity does not spread past the fan community, plain and simple.

Can't get the video going here, will try later on another computer. Not really expecting anything that hasn't already been repeated several times already, though. There's like, not much else to say at this juncture, as far as I can tell.

My opinion is correcter! Note, not corrector, as that is more noun-like.

And that said, WTF kind of stuff do your guys' dogs crap out if they resemble Megatron in the least? Moreso, WTF do you feed them? Geckos? Ewww.

I have rolled warm dog turd in aluminum foil far more times than any of you. I know what I'm talking about here.

Your right it is old and I am right now part of the problem by helping drag this out.

But I am so frustrated by all the haters, every other word that has been posted on these boards are whiney little snipits becasue they think they can do it better, and if any one posts a reply that isn't in line with thier view they go on the offensive and shoot them down.

It leaves me wondering how many people want to voice postive notes on what they have seen but don't want to have to deal with being told they are wrong all the time.

I like the way the movie is progressing, I like the people working on it and I think they and others need to hear this.

I have no illusions of how films are made. Seen them mention it all the time in documentaries and specials.

Some do the process better than others. This one however isn't one of them I'm sorry to say.
