Ok so I have a video camera its an DigiLife: DDV-C330. Now it has great playback quality and what not, however my problem is that I have no idea how to convert the product from the camera onto my computer because it comes out as AVI files and my computer only reads AVI files as sound and not video as far as im aware. So is there anyway to convert the files to Windows Movie Maker?

(If this is the wrong spot in the forum I apologize.)

This may be better suited for Video Games and Technology.

I am no expert, but have you used VLC to watch the clips? may be just a WMP issue.
as for file conversion, i use Prism Video Converter for conversions and it has helped with some of my video issues.
last resort may be just google your camera and read forums.

Another REALLY GOOD option is to install the CCCP. It gives you almost every A/V codec you will ever need.
