"The Strongest Partners, the Combination of Victory!" Items of note: *The death of Jean's parents and his adoption by Star Saber is expanded upon in the anime but not really talked about in-depth in the manga. *Likewise, absolutely no connection between Ginrai and Victory Leo is ever made in the manga. Keep in mind, though, that these comics were printed with lots of background material and story pages to accompany them. It's possible that in the issue of TV Magazine that Victory #7 was published in, the origin of Victory Leo was included as reference material. I don't have the original magazine, so I don't know. The manga-itself, though, never says who he is. *Jean totally has a Luke Skywalker moments before he finds out Patty is his sister. That'll blueball ya real quick. *Patty reminds me of Shun from Saint Seiya/Knights of the Zodiak. Shun's supposedly a guy, by the way.
The design? No, that would be stupid. Come on, shut up. At this point I don't know if I'm enjoying these mangas more or less after each issue XD
In Japanese continuity, robots don't have to be engineered to combine, they just have to have enough BURNING JUSTICE!! in their hearts and all things are possible.
Yeah, that's a common trait to all japanese media it seems. "Burning Justice!" Can alter anything on the fly in ways the owner could never see imaginable over 9000 times the power it should use. It just uses the easiest way imaginable to mold the parts into as needed. Had nothing to do with the fact the various parts look like arms or legs on wheels or with wings. Or huge plugs jutting off the back. >.>
