i have them and the answer is no. Star Sabers gun broke in his hand, which was an extremely tight fit. Lio is alright. .... once you get them a harsh reality sets in. Lio is wings and shoes for Star Saber. yup.
They are great little figures, you should get them if you can find them for a decent price. I have both the regular versions and the eHobby repaints.
these two really need generations updates. fingers crossed for a voyager saber after hasbro finishes the foc stuff. id love if he were just the red plane with a master gimmick (let a third party make the booster/ armor parts)
It's a great substitute if you don't have the cash or space for an original victory saber. I had the set for years before I shelled out for the real deal. Awesome to fiddle with too. iDD
I've had both versions (the retail and black exclusives) for a while now and they're really great display pieces. I'd never play with them though. Not that the plastic quality is bad, but neither really have any articulation aside from head and arm swivels.
Here's the pic. As you can see, individually, they're a little taller than Cyberverse commanders and your average Scout. Combined, they're a little taller than your average deluxe.
There is a half way decent knock off out there. I got them at Family Dollar in a 2 pack a few years ago but after that they sold them individually. I'm not sure if they still carry them but it would be worth checking.
I wouldn't recommend that. I wasted 5 bucks on that knockoff. When I opened it and attempted to transform it once, it broke. The plastic is WAY too cheap. I think it'd be best to just be patient and wait for Victory Leo to show up on eBay for a decent price. I've seen them go for 40 bucks MISB before, but I've also seen them go for 100 loose. Just seems like a real crap shoot for them. I got the black version first a few years back when they were relatively cheap. They can cost a pretty penny now though.
I paid 119.99 for the black version MISB and 89 dollars for the regular set loose. Like I said before, they can be found for a reasonable price, but you just kind of have to be patient. I wouldn't pay any more than 150 for the black set and more than 80 for the normal colored set. I'm perfectly aware that I overpaid for the normal colored set, but I had a lot of spare cash at the time.
They're good. I love my set. Chest gimmick was fun for the size class. Plus I bought my whole RM collection MISB cheap.
I was disappointed with the articulation. Design was decent, but don't expect them to do much of anything. I'd rather see a 3rd party version than an official one, but that's just me.
Mine have turned out great. And they scale with Kabaya Ginrai and hopefully Kabaya Deszaras. The Kabaya ones seem to be very similar if you want something cheaper.
Yeah, and pay three times as much? No thank you. I got my set from the b/s/t exchange awhile back for about $40 shipped, so deals can be found. Personally, I like them despite the brickishness. They're kind of fragile, but with some care they're pretty cool little figures.
