Every time the autobots refer to each other by their rank rather than their name, take a shot.

Every time Star/Victory Saber says he will not forgive the decepticons for one reason or another, take a shot.

Every time the autobots refer to the decepticons with the word "yatsura", take a shot.

Every time the narrator says the autobots must surely fight even harder in the future, take two shots.

Every time Star Saber's transformation stock footage is used at full length, take two shots.

Every time Leozack or Hellbat plot against Deszaras or each other, take a shot.

Every time Victory Saber's transformation stock footage is used at full length, take two shots and go take a leak while it's still playing.

    More suggestions accepted!

I once played a "Continuity Error" drinking game with G1 episodes with a buddy of mine... I threw up 3 times on the subway ride back home. Dangerous stuff, that G1.

Everytime time that weird kid cries out loud, take a shot.

Everytime a robot does something ******ed (i.e., unusual, funny, or just random), take a shot. (This is dangerous if you're already drunk or, God forbid, high)

A friend suggested the last one. I do not.

Every time a member of Dinoforce trips, slips, or performs a similiar act of slapstick, first one to say Dinoking gets to assign a shot to someone.

Every time Star Saber does the incredibly bone-headed move of fighting the Decepticon army all by himself, take a shot.

(At least in the translations I have) Everytime an Autobot says the Earth is beautiful and must be protected, take two shots. Actually, I think that may apply to Headmasters and Masterforce as well.

Hahahahah, what does 'yatsura/yatsu" mean anyway? I'm noticing it a lot in Masterforce which I'm watching for the first time at the moment.

You know, I wanted to make this game Victory-specific (with the exception of the "Yatsura" bit), so I avoided mentioning anything that could apply to any other G1 cartoon, like "Every time decepticons attack a power plant..."

The sad thing is, it's not bone-headed because he usually wins.

In fact, every time Star Saber takes on the decepticon army all by himself and still wins, take a shot.

Seriously, what the hell do the autobots need an army for anymore when one guy is pretty much undefeatable?

I dunno, it's usually translated as "bastard". But like so many other Japanese words, I guess it carries a slightly different weight in the original language.

The "Yatsura" bit could apply to almost any other Japanese TF show, but considering what smug bastards the Victory autobots are, the use of the word feels particularily awkward. As does the "beautiful blue earth" bit.

I would like it if American cartoons had gratuitous use of the word bastard during fights!

It's a typical Japanese kids series. Almost anything has an overpowered hero, mottoes about how "life is precious we must preserve it" and gratuitous stock footage.

Makes for some fun nights... and terrible headaches the morning after.
